In honor of November 5th's 10th anniversary of the introduction of Meiko, the first Japanese Vocaloid and first Vocaloid with an official Avatar, Sega's Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone is adding "Nostalogic" by yuukiss in its November update and featuring a special Meiko medley music video running on the machines. This isn't a response to Cinco de Mayo. Nor does the 5th of May day for appreciating MEIKO have anything to do with any significant date in the history of the first Japanese female vocaloid. Instead, the fan holiday is a bit of word play in which "5" can be written to look like "ko," such that a reading of the date can be twisted into "May-ko."
