    The Museum of Art, Kochi is now holding a special exhibition "The World of Yamamoto Nizo" covering more than 30 years of Nizo Yamamoto's anime background works from April 14 to June 3.     A Look At Hayao Miyazaki's Son's Second Feature Effort

    Following his Earthsea adaptation, Goro Miyazaki's second feature looks closer to Japan with an adaptation of Chizuru Takahashi and Tetsuro Sayama's manga Kokuriko-Zaka Kara (From Kokuriko Hill).  With the movie scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on July 16th, here's a trailer.

  • Masami Nagasawa Cast as Lead in New Goro Miyazaki Movie

    Cast Announced For Kokuriko-Zaka Kara

    Studio Ghibli has revealed the cast for Goro Miyazaki's second anime movie, an adaptation of Chizuru Takahashi and Tetsuro Sayama's manga Kokuriko-Zaka Kara (From Kokuriko Hill). Masami Nagasawa (live action versions of Mitsuru Adachi's sports manga Touch and RoughGodzilla Final WarsGodzilla vs. Mothra vs. Mechagodzilla: Tokyo SOS) plays the heroine, a girl named Komatsuzaki growing up in Yokohama in the 60's.
