The New York Comic Con/New York Anime Festival joint event has added two big names to its guest list with announcements that Makoto Shinkai (5 Centimeters Per Second, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, Voices of a Distant Star) will be presenting his new Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below and Frank Miller (Daredevil, 300, Sin City) his Holy Terror (originally pitched as Batman vs. Al Qaeda). Kevin Smith put out a casting call in May for people that live and breathe the comic book lifestyle. This is for a reality series he's developing for AMC (The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and Mad Men). This reality show will revolve around his New Jersey comic store, Jay and Bob's Secret Stash. In a Facebook post, additional requirements were listed. “He’s not looking for actors, he’s looking for real people who live and breath the comic book lifestyle. Must be funny outgoing and have a knowledge and passion for comics, superheroes, movie memorabilia and everything that goes with it.”
