Last November, NHK, Japan's national public broadcasting station, aired a 50-minute special documentary program "NeverEnding Man Miyazaki Hayao." You might remember that this made news for comments about new projects and less-than-kind sentiments about artificial intelligence rendered models. New York's Japan Society has announced plans to present a US premiere screening of the documentary's theatrical version, plus, a 35mm screening of classic Porco Rosso in time for its 25th anniversary.

Anime goods maker Movic is working with Benelic, a company that creates adults oriented Studio Ghibli items, to produce a series of 3-function Sailor Pens (mechanical pencil, black ballpoint, and red ballpoint) decorated with designs inspired by My Neighbor Totoro, Laputa: Castle in the Sky and Porco Rosso.
