GKIDS have revealed the official movie poster and theatrical trailer for the limited North American theatrical release of Miss Hokusai (known as Sarusuberi in the original Japanese), an animated film that chronicles the life and work of the daughter of one of the most famous painters in Japanese history. Miss Hokusai, a 2015 theatrical anime film about the daughter of one of Japan's most famous artists, is receiving a limited theatrical release in select markets in the United States and Canada in October and November of 2016 thanks to GKIDS, a film distribution company based in New York. Night time cable network Adult Swim and prominent anime studio Production I.G have been working on some projects together lately. You might have heard of something that they have in development, called the FLCL sequels. They were also involved with the spots from legend Mamoru Oshii. And, they've done another one, which finds a novel way to frame the [as] programming.
Production I.G has posted on their site (Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass, relevant here, Namco x Capcom) that the studio has been tapped to animate scenes for Persona 5. More after the jump.
