Figure maker FREEing is continuing their series of oversized, 1/4 scale bunny girl statues with their first representative from Ritz's school girl mahjong manga, Saki. Given the focus of these figures, you probably won't be surprised that they picked Kiyosumi High School first-year Nodoka Haramura, a young lady who started at a J-cup and moved to a K-cup. With Good Smile Company distributing the figure is now available for pre-order.
Recently, Square Enix's twice-monthly magazine Young Gangan (out the first and third Friday) teased that the issue out September 2nd will feature a major announcement concerning Ritz Kobayashi's school girl mahjong manga Saki. "Feature" turned out to be the appropriate word as as an early look at the issue has revealed plans for the "live-action project start-up!!" More after the jump.

Since the 2006 series and its 2011-13 Side A spin-off were adapted into 2009, 2012, and 2014 manga, fans have speculated/hoped that the news might be about another anime.
This week's release of the June issue of Big Gangan is announcing plans for Toki, the spin-off to Ritz Kobayashi's schoolgirl mahjong manga Saki. The new series debuts in the July issue of the magazine, out June 25th, with Mekimeki Oukoku illustrating and Ritz Kobayashi writing/supervising. More after the jump.
Square Enix has posted a 100-second preview for the upcoming OAD of Saya Kiyoshi's four-panel parody manga Saki Biyori, which is inspired by Ritz Kobayashi's mahjong-themed manga Saki. The disc will be bundled with the 3,980-yen limited edition of the 14th volume of the original series. Check the clip after the jump.
