Hatsune Miku's "Senbonzakura" was originally composed by Kurousa-P in September 2011, and is often chosen as one of her most popular songs. Many artists have covered it, and the latest take is performed by three-member masked electronic dance-pop unit CTS. Check their version after the jump.
The sakura (cherry blossom) season has arrived in Japan. A festival in Nagano called "Ueda Castle Thousands of Cherry Trees Festival" has used the most famous vocaloid character Hatsune Miku's "Senbonzakura" as its 10th anniversary song. After racking up over four million views and becoming a karaoke phenomenon, Kurousa-P's Hatsune Miku hit song "Senbonzakura" (One Thousand Cherry Blossoms) began a multi-media journey. Last fall, ASCII Media Works announced a light novel adaptation with illustrations by Ittomaru. Now, a musical has been scheduled to play in March at the Hakuhinkan Theater in Ginza, Tokyo.
