Weekly Shonen Magazine's 2015 issue 32, out in Japan July 8th, has announced that Atsushi Ōkubo, best known as the creator of Soul Eater, is preparing to launch a new manga series tentatively titled Flame-Flame Fire Fighting Regiment. FUNimation has scheduled a complete premium Blu-ray set of Soul Eater to be released on June 30th along with a collection of its spin-off Soul Eater Not! Preparing for the latter, they've announced the cast of the Not! English dub. See who's who after the jump.
This past weekend's new issue of Monthly Shounen Gangan announced that Atsushi Ohkubo's Soul Eater Not! will be ending in the magazine's December issue, on sale November 12th. The conclusion of the spin-off of supernatural action manga Soul Eater will be commemorated with a cover and special bonus clearfile. More after the jump.
At Anime Weekend Atlanta, FUNimation announced the Blu-ray and DVD rights for Soul Eater Not! The series is expected to release in summer 2015, and it will include an English dub track. They also announced their first titles for their fall simulcast plans. Get the details after the jump.
Local news is reporting that a 14-year-old Florida, girl has been accused of trying to kill her family by burning their house down. While police point out that she visited websites associated with the Slender Man urban legend tied to a May case in which two Wisconsin girls where arrested for stabbing a peer, the accused arsonist reportedly credited manga Soul Eater with inspiring her crime.
