Ninja Division Publishing and Seven Seas Entertainment have announced the formation of a new joint venture game company, Shinobi 7. This promises to bring together Ninja Division's ame design with Seven Seas’ know-how in license acquisition and curation. Shinobi 7 will focus on producing tabletop games that are based on hit anime, manga, and pop culture brands. This fall, Shinobi 7 will launch its first title, Space Dandy Galactic Deck-Building Game.
Hooters, the American restaurant that inspired Space Dandy's BooBies, will be hosting a special screening of the acclaimed 2014 sci-fi comedy anime, presented by series director Shinichirō Watanabe and writer Kimiko Ueno at its Shinjuku, Tokyo location. More after the jump.
Kodansha had new release plans to announced at this weekend's New York Comic Con, starting with new licenses I am Space Dandy, original stories based on the anime, and Hounori's Spoof on the Titan, the parody than ran digitally on MangaBox. They also announced plans for digital ebook releases of Fort of Apocalypse, Space Brothers, As the God's Will: the Second Series, My Wife is Wagatsuma-san, and Fuuka.
Space Dandy is back in Japan after a fashion. A rebroadcast of 13 episodes, ordered by fan selection, is running on Tokyo MX and NicoNico. This is leading up to a Blu-ray box collection, scheduled to be released January 29th for 18,000yen. To promote this, Bandai Visual has borrowed a bit from FUNimation's North American release. Namely, their promo skits featuring voice actor Ian Sinclair.
Yesterday publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced plans to enter the world of tabletop gaming via its newly-formed Seven Seas Games imprint. The division's first anime license was promised today, and the result is a dandy guy in space! Seven Seas Games announced the launch of a Kickstarter for Space Dandy: Galactic Deck-Building Game, which hopes to rope in a cool $12,000 in the next 35 days. Hit the jump for more.

With Space Dandy: Season One set to be released on Blu-ray & DVD February 17 FUNimation, has previewed the special editions. While a standard edition combo pack will be available for $69.98 SRP, there's also a FUNimation store exlusive "Boobies Experience" edition with five limited edition cards, Boobies trucker hat, logo decal, pennant, stickers and Boobies 2015 calendar and an Amazon exclusive Aloha Oe Crew Edition with Aloha Oe trucker hat, decal, Dandy belt buckle and Dandy charm necklace.
Space Dandy merchandise still isn't particularly plentiful, which makes it double weird that one of the few items that Bandai is making is a QT style toilet paper cover. The bit of bathroom anime merch is scheduled to be released in December for 1,944yen. Get a look after the jump.
Space Dandy fans bemoaning the scarcity of merchandise can now comfort themselves with an official Honey hug pillow featuring designer Yoshiyuki Ito's illustration of the character in her BooBies uniform on one side and outfit from episode 7, "A Race in Space Is Dangerous, Baby," on the other. With the broadcast of Space Dandy over and the month of October underway, the Twitter account for the series has posted an illustration and message from Shingo Natsume, director on the series and episode director for the first, last and season 1 finale. Accompanying the ghostly, yokai-style take on the crew, Natsume sincerely thanked the viewers and expressed hopes for a sequel.
