The work of sci-fi author Philip K. Dick, whose novels and short stories inspired Bladerunner and Total Recall among others, is set to come to life again in an adaptation of 1962's alternate history classic The Man in the High Castle. Syfy is planning a miniseries based of the story of America under German and Japanese control with Bladerunner director Ridley Scott producing. More after the jump.
Bad news in general for the state of anime on cable, as Comcast's SyFy channel appears to be quietly closing the door on their anime programming lineup. The network has removed all references to its anime block and will no longer be airing Star Blazers, its newest acquisition, after June 9.
