One Piece: Strong World, the 10th movie in the series, whose box office success was only surpassed by the recent One Piece: Film Z, is coming to North America from FUNimation November 19th. And, with that on the horizon, Viz has scheduled the prequel to run in their Shonen Jump digital manga magazine next week. More after the jump.
Through this weekend, Viz is offering a 20% discount on their complete digital manga catalog. Unfortunately, this is prelude to a price hike on their offering. As of October 1st, manga that was $4.99 volume will be priced $6.99, while larger formats, such as the three-in-one collections and mature titles will be raised accordingly. VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), the largest publisher, distributor and licensor of manga and anime in North America, generates even more excitement for its new Neon Alley 24/7 anime platform as it announces the expansion of its proprietary content delivery service to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
Back in December, Viz Media announced plans to bring its Neon Alley service to Xbox 360 in early 2013, and it looks like they're right on schedule. The 24-hour subscription-based anime channel, which specializes in dubbed versions of popular shows like Tiger & Bunny and Blue Exorcist, is now available as an app on Microsoft's console.
