  • Viz Licenses Classic "Sailor Moon" Anime and "Sailor Moon Crystal"

    The full TV series and more are on the way, new dub in the works

    As announced at Anime Central, Viz Media locked down a whopper of a license with the addition of the classic Sailor Moon anime and the upcoming Sailor Moon Crystal. This includes streaming, digital, and home video rights that cover all 200 episodes, tie-in specials, and three feature films. More after the jump!

  • "Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit" Rescued By Viz Media

    License rescue includes addition to Neon Alley lineup this month

  • English "Shonen Jump" to Feature "One Piece: Strong World" One Shot

    FUNimation to release anime movie in November

    One Piece: Strong World, the 10th movie in the series, whose box office success was only surpassed by the recent One Piece: Film Z, is coming to North America from FUNimation November 19th. And, with that on the horizon, Viz has scheduled the prequel to run in their Shonen Jump digital manga magazine next week. More after the jump.

  • Viz Announces Digital Manga Price Hike

    Prices go from $4.99 to $6.99 a volume

    Through this weekend, Viz is offering a 20% discount on their complete digital manga catalog. Unfortunately, this is prelude to a price hike on their offering. As of October 1st, manga that was $4.99 volume will be priced $6.99, while larger formats, such as the three-in-one collections and mature titles will be raised accordingly.
