Following the "Native" model in September, Aquamarine will release their 2nd vocaloid GUMI product, a 1/8th scale PVC figure of "Mamama Type GUMI from Megpoid Whisper." The costume of the 20cm-tall figure is the one she wears on the package of the "VOCALOID 3 Megpoid Whisper" software. Check the details of the latest GUMI figure after the jump.
Vocaloid producer (best known for Hatsune Miku and Gumi's "Matryoshka"), songwriter, and illustrator Kenshi Yonezu (aka Hachi) has done some interesting animation to accompany non-vocaloid work, such as the videos for last year's "diorama" album. As previously reported, the most famous vocaloid character Hatsune Miku has performed with 300 members of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra for Isao Tomita's “Symphony Ihatov” concerts since last year. Japanese record company Nippon Columbia posted a short video from the latest concert in Hanamaki-city, Iwate Prefecture. Check the clip after the jump.
Japan's Tower Records revealed that anime studio Shaft and director Akiyuki Shinbo (Madoka Magica, Monogatari) have been attached to a project inspired by vocaloid producer's Jin (aka Shizen no Teki-P) Kagerou Project (Heat-Haze Project). The anime will share the name of Jin's first album, Mekakucity Actors. Hinting at the format, they say that the airing date hasn't been decided. More after the jump.
