Yen Press announced a slate of new licenses at this weekend's Sakuracon, highlighted by the introduction of a new Yen On light novel imprint. In addition to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Spice & Wolf, and the upcoming blockbusters, Sword Art Online and Accel World, this will feature new license A Certain Magical Index. Yen Press has announced that the Hachette Book imprint and Square Enix will be rolling out their library of manga to digital book formats including Kindle, Google Play, iBooks, Kobo and Nook starting in April. In additon to selling chapters, the authorized Yen Press eBook collections will also include color pages not appearing in their print counterparts. More after the jump.

North American manga publisher Yen Press told readers to pay attention to the editor's letter in the November issue of digital magazine Yen Plus for some important news. Today was Yen Press' turn to announce a slate of manga licenses at New York Comic Con. Kiyohiko Azuma's Yotsuba&! is a charming, whimsical manga, intended to recapture the spirit of childhood, but given that it's about a child raised by a single father, running in a mature seinen anthology, maybe it's not entirely inappropriate that it made a prominent cameo in a recent episode of frequently raunchy American sitcom Louie.
