YUKI, antigua vocalista de Judy and Mary, ha vendido 21.461 copias de su último single, “Playball”, llegando así al tercer puesto de la lista de ventas de singles de Oricon en la semana del 30 de abril al 6 de mayo. El single incluye el tema “Sakamichi no Melody” de la actualmente en emisión Sakamichi no Apollon.

Fashion retailer UNIQLO has launched a new UNIQLO WAKE UP alarm clock app. The alarm music, which is automatically created based on the weather, time, and day of the week, was co-written by 51st annual Grammy nominee Cornelius, aka Keigo Oyamada, and Yoko Kanno. More after the jump.

Anime composer Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop, Kids on the Slope) has worked with movie director Shunji Iwai (All About Lily Chou-Chou, Alice & Hana) on an NHK-published music video to support reconstruction from the March 2011, earthquake. Yoko Kanno's "Sakamichi no Apollon" Anime Soundtrack CD Scheduled
Guest artists include Aoi Teshima, Masayoshi Furukawa, and Yuuka Nanri
Fans of Cowboy Bebop director Shinichirō Watanabe and composer Yoko Kanno's new collaboration, Sakamichi no Apollon, will not have to wait long for its soundtrack. The anime adaptation of Yūki Kodama's josei manga hits Japanese TV in April, and the soundtrack is already scheduled for an April 25th release. More after the jump.
