Since October, anime distributor Discotek has been teasing big news on a sports license. This weekend, that news dropped. Yowamushi Pedal series 1 and series 2 Grande Road will be released on home video English subtitles. Along with this, they announced plans to released Lupin the 3rd Jigen's Gravestone on DVD and Blu Ray. This will be their first title to have a brand new English dub, included along with Japanese with English subtitles.

Leading into the October 6th premiere of Yowapeda: Grande Road, the cycling anime has previewed the designs for Hiroshima Kureminami Tech Bicycle club's ace sprinter Machimiya Eikichi. Tomokazu Seki (Fate's Gilgamesh) voices the "Fighting Dog of Kure," so nicknamed for his crouching style in which he bangs his chest off his bike's handlebars, leaving eye-like bruises. Leading into October's Yowapeda: Grande Road anime, convenience store chain Lawson is celebrating the cycling series' return with a special promotion. In addition to a visual featuring the cast in their trademark uniform, special merchandise featuring the cast wearing Lawson logo jerseys and an activity meter so that fans can tracks their own training, as well as a Twitter promotion in which fans can win a poster signed by the cast.
