Ruri Miyahara, author of Love Lab and the soon to be adapted Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, put her characters in the snow to deliver their holiday messages. Looks like the rumor/hopes are proving true. YuruYuri manga author Namori has taken to Twitter to announced that a new YuyuYuri anime is in the works. There aren't any details yet, but there are lots of thanks and congratulations from Namori and the likes of Shiori Mikami (Akarin) and the folks behind the upcoming Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san anime (also based on a Comic Yuri Hime manga). NIS America has announced that YuruYuri Season 2 Premium Edition, the continuance of the charming series starring Akari, Kyoko, Yui, and Chinatsu as the four sole members of the middle school Amusement club, will be released in North America on January 7 of next year. The series will be packaged in a collectible slipcase, including 2 Blu-ray discs with hardcover art book filled with information and detailed artwork from the series. More after the jump.
A couple of our favorite manga auther/social media stars have gotten into the spirit of the season. Shochu-mimai are summer greeting cards, sent in Japan between July and August 7.There's also zansho-mimai, sent from August 8th to the end of the month. Nanamori Middle School Amusement Club, also known as YuruYuri voice actresses Shiori Mikami, Yuka Ōtsubo, Minami Tsuda and Rumi Ookubo, will be singing the second opening theme for the Japanese broadcast of Friendship is Magic. The "Great Big Magical Adventure!" will be featured in a "Nanamori Amusement Club in My Little Pony?" single, set to be released July 31st. Check out the music video after the jump.
