No fanservice. NONE. Even less the Azumanga Daioh.
Really. Even the beach episode - Which consists mostly of one person, wearing normal clothes, sitting on a blanket - is completely G-rated.
This is not a show for everyone. There is no plot, and it takes its time in moving the episodes along. Scenes were nothing happens are frequent.
    BUT.
I gave this five stars, and I meant it. Because it is ...

  • TOO CUTE, i just couldn't handle it !
I strongly suggest this show if you are looking for a peaceful moment in a complete different world from what you know in the mountains of japans. It's the story of 4 girls in a small town in the middle of a beautiful scenery. The story is a mix of humour and lovely friendship moment between these 4 girls. It is very funny by moments and you won't be able to not laugh from the faces expressions ...

  • Just relax and enjoy the countryside.
Its a calm and happy anime, with no blood or fights. For you to take a break and smile every episode. A life in the countryside of Japan can be interesting. And this show will make you open your eyes to the wonderful things nature has to offer.
It can be too relaxing, due to the music and the atmosphere. And you may fall asleep, but the story will surely keep you up.

  • Therapeutic! Peaceful and calming.
I watch this when I want to relax my mind. It is cute and calming. Watching a slow-paced life in an idyllic setting drains out all tension. Renge is my favorite - so much fun; she is simultaneously more child-like and more adult than the others. Watch the artwork she draws - there's one episode that is hilarious.

  • Great Anime without FAN SERVICE
Who would have thought you could make a really funny and entertaining Anime about 4 girls (plus extras) in a small town so addicting. I thought for sure this was going to be some romance/harem themed anime that I was preparing to jump to the next anime after watching it for a few minutes. I just happened to randomly click on it while searching for another anime and thought I should give it a ...

  • A great, calm, fun show to watch.
This show is a tender stroll through the country. If you need a destressor this would work well. The character of Renge in particular is soul Valium.

Seriously, if you have had one of those grinds of a day pop 3 episodes of non non and sleep tight.

  • Super sweet anime for all ages
This anime was cute and quirky. I enjoyed watching it over time. It started out as a filler between starting a new series and it was so cute I couldn't stop watching it. All the characters are adorable in their own way and it proves that fanservice isn't required to be a great anime.

  • So Amazing. You should just leave it on repeat.
Everything about this anime brings happiness and nostalgia. It's just girls enjoying the countryside and doing everyday activities, being kids. They are of different ages and it really captures the friendships that happen in village life, and the tasks of keeping a village together. It's full of warmth. It's 100% kids being kids, no pretense about the school or social systems that happen in larger ...
