    The Quiet Country Life
Non Non Biyori focuses upon a group of students in a quiet country village, and quickly introduces the arrival of Ichijo Hotaru, a female transfer student from Tokyo. She becomes the fifth student at the village school, a mixed-grades class now with four girls and one boy. The first episode is pure slice-of-life, as slow-paced and relaxed as its setting. The humor is both ...

A Nice Break From Over The Top Anime
Basically this anime has a beautiful art style with a lighthearted story to it. The premise is that these four girls attend a school of which they are the only students there so they all share the same classroom. That's it, that's the story from watching episode one. But don't get the wrong idea; it works quite well for this anime. It's a lot of fun and I recommend it to everyone.

My stress-free anime of this fall
Relax and enjoy. For this kind of anime, I think it is okay for you to fall asleep for a while and watch it again as you like. Atmosphere, characters, wit, and music all fit together so that you can relax with nice slice-of-life anime on Monday nights. For me I have actually watched this a couple of more times, stress-free, while enjoying every bit of humor throughout the first episode. I will ...

Anime doesn't have to be about fan-service all the time!!
This was so good!!! No fanservice , no ecchi stuff, no blood, no violence. Everything was so cute and entertaining!! I loved it so much!! This shows that anime doesn't need to have violence in it to be good and entertaining -.-!!!

The countryside - what a nice change!
Even though there's only one episode, I think I can safely say I'll love this series. The first episode was great, it was really refreshing to feel like I was in the Japanese countryside, rather than your typical highly-populated high school setting. It just makes you feel more calm watching it.

I hope that they stick to the countryside, but perhaps venture out of it into the city to expand ...

    Very Relaxing and Simple
My favorite anime this season so far! No violence, no blood, no arrogant jerks, no painfully annoying characters, none of that. =) The animation is amazing. It's cute and funny! It's one of those series that's shows that you don't have to be over-the-top in everything to have a good anime. It just makes you so happy!! Highly recommended if you want something simple to watch and that's what I love ...

Pleasantly surprised by this...its definitely worth a look
I have to admit, when I first saw the poster and description of this anime, I thought to myself, "man, they really are going balls-deep with this whole loli fan craze aren't they?" But, after reading the few high rated reviews on this show, I had to give it the looksies...not because it features little girls - I'm not a creep nor a threat to all children, that I am sure of - rather I was intrigued ...

    My anime of the season
I eagerly await the arrival of the new Non Non Biyori episode every week. This anime is so different from any recent shows in setting and plot. It is slice of life in its purest form. The portrayal of the countryside setting is breathtakingly beautiful, and in stark contrast to most anime that are set very urban. The characters are completely innocent, their interactions friendly and heartwarming, ...

    What a Beautiful Anime
A handful of people complain about the pace of this anime being too slow and I can see why they feel that way. For example, the intro to the first episode is very calm, without any dialogue, however. I believe those harsh critics neglect the bigger picture; they tend to focus too much on the trivial details and they quickly become disinterested if there are no interactions within a thirty second ...

Started this one late but now can't wait for it.
Fanservice, Comedy, Battles, Horror, SciFi, samurai, this is none of that.

Non Non Biyori is a simple, beautifully animated story of four girls living in a small country setting. It is so different from the typical school driven shows and over the top fighting shows. It is very funny and cute. I find myself laughing out loud watching this show. It is so well done.

The animation is well done ...
