someone finally shows a more realistic version
I've seen similar themed animes pop up from time to time pretty often in the past. Oreimo is the only one that I've ever seen that had the guts to "go there". This story is more real-to-life while retaining some ridiculous anime virtues at the same time =) Love it.

AND, as someone who has their own experience in a love that people around them may not approve of, I can actually relate to alot ...

SERIOUSLY, STAND UP RIGHT NOW, SPIT IN FRONT OF YOU, SPIN 3 TIMES AND TAP YOUR SHOULDERS.

Ok good. Now that the curse hasn't been passed on to you yet I can still save you citizen. I'm gonna keep it short and simple. You will LOVE the first season. You will climb lamp posts and yodel in public during the second season. But ...

My Highest Recommendation (edited after finale)
I'm adding a review of the ending at the bottom of my original view, since I understand where many people come from, but I also believe that they're blowing it out of proportion.

I was first introduced to Oreimo before season 2 came out, and I was put off by the title, thinking it was going to be an incest filled series between Kyosoke and Kirino. Therefore I didn't watch it.

    This show is really good
A friend of mine recommended this anime to me a while back. I was hesitant at first because of the way he described the show to me. He said something along the lines of "a brother and sister love story." Now while that is true, it's not what you think initially. The show is about a brother, Kyousuke, helping out his little sister, Kirino, hide the fact that she is an otaku while at the same time ...

MUST WATCH, very funny and kawaii
very funny until the end, please if you plan on watching this entire series, after each season watch the OVAs or whatever they are called because for some reason they are not on crunchyroll and it really messes up the story as a whole. recommend this anime so much.

This Show Was Decent, Until The Ending...
Oreimo seemed like your typical harem romance; numerous, cute animated girls attracted to the same guy who happens to be really kind to others. But what makes this anime very bland at the end is the choices our poor protagonist makes.

Oreimo focuses on the life of Kyosuke Kosaka, a typical high school student who has a popular model for a sister, Kirino. They used to get along very well when ...

    Intro:

So, I just finished Oriemo, and I can tell you that it was quite the ride for me. The show delivers a somewhat awkward context yet wraps it in such a charming scenario that you can't help smile when thinking about it. The world created in ...

I really wish I didn't watch those OTHER 3 episodes...
Like most people that have given this series a 2 or 3 star rating and review, I really enjoyed the ride, just wasn't a fan of the "ending". It has likable/lovable characters, good comedy, and tells us a pretty decent story... I just really wish I didn't watch the final 3 OVAs(not on CR) to finish the series lol. But because the original ending of episode 13 just felt so lacking as far as an ending ...

My Little Sister Can't Be This Entertaining
There are certain shows that, after the final episode ends, depression washes over me as I realize that it is really over. If I hear the theme song for this particular show, those same feelings rear their heads and I am reminded of everything that I felt as if I just finished watching the show. After finishing Oreimo, I felt the same depression, knowing that I would no longer get to enjoy the ...
