  • If not for the smart writing, praise it for the direction of cinematography
Instead of flashy battles between two cultures, this show tackles culture shock and conquest in a sensible approach. The writers really know what they’re doing, a rarity in the anime business. It’s not easy to find a show that tackles comedy and serious subjects together well. The directors are brilliant as well. The flow and the pacing of scenes are masterfully implemented with no wasted frames ...

  • Stereotypical NEET Leaving Reality
I was expecting more from this but even after the first episode it is clear to me that this anime is just another grab at the attention of males who fantasize over girls thy will never be able to get in real life.

Personally, I would not recommend this for a watch. That is only because of the immense waste of time this anime is.

  • Tldr: It isn't a replacement for Gate
Gave this a shot after watching an absolutely loving "Gate".....and found it to be "meh"
I'll cut to the chase: Wasn't terrible, and not meant for me.
Some lol's, facepalms, groans, and sighs were had... Being dredged through the otaku portions of the show was a mood shattering experience. It felt self serving at points... I mean fine, if you are an otaku idc "do you booboo". But as someone ...

A funny and memorable tribute to anime, fantasy and all things nerdy
This anime really made me smile. It exists as a wink and a nudge to those who love fantasy, anime and rewards you for being in the 'know.' It definitely celebrates nerdyness and even manages to be quite informative about NEET/Hikikomori/Otaku culture.
Watching it feels like wading into familiar waters without being too repetitive or hackneyed. It is a fresh take on the 'transported to a ...

  • Funny and Interesting Anime About Spreading Otaku Culture in Another World
Outbreak Company is a wonderful story about love and friendship, differences in cultures, and doing the right thing.

Meet Shinichi, a shut-in otaku who is well-versed in every aspect of otaku culture. While surfing the Internet one day, he applies to join Amu Tech, a company that is looking for someone that fits his description to a "T". He lands the job, but wakes up the next day in a ...

  • Different world. But the girls are still beautiful.
Very fun. Reminds me of Familiar of Zero, but this accomplishes it all in one season rather than three. Teen guy is transported to a different world where he meets and bonds with the people there. Different customs to understand. He manages a little harem. Ultimately standing up for what his heart believes in.

    Silly, harmless fun.
This show is neck-deep in anime tropes, but that's almost the entire point of the show! It pokes fun at the anime/manga stereotypes (harems being the biggest one) through the eyes of an otaku, and never takes itself *too* seriously. It was enjoyable enough to watch from beginning to end in one night. There are some moments of reflection, too, with topics like equality, hikikomori, and shady ...

  • Cute Girls And Heavy Breathing
This is a comedy Harem with magic. Set in an alternate reality the protagonist finds himself caught between 3 beautiful women and a queen. His job is simple. Spread the Otaku Culture, but to begin he has some minor leaps to make. Teaching the locals how to read the manga he is sharing. This short anime will have you glued to the screen begging for the guy to make his move and have his way with the ...
