  • Different world. But the girls are still beautiful.
Very fun. Reminds me of Familiar of Zero, but this accomplishes it all in one season rather than three. Teen guy is transported to a different world where he meets and bonds with the people there. Different customs to understand. He manages a little harem. Ultimately standing up for what his heart believes in.

    Silly, harmless fun.
This show is neck-deep in anime tropes, but that's almost the entire point of the show! It pokes fun at the anime/manga stereotypes (harems being the biggest one) through the eyes of an otaku, and never takes itself *too* seriously. It was enjoyable enough to watch from beginning to end in one night. There are some moments of reflection, too, with topics like equality, hikikomori, and shady ...

  • Cute Girls And Heavy Breathing
This is a comedy Harem with magic. Set in an alternate reality the protagonist finds himself caught between 3 beautiful women and a queen. His job is simple. Spread the Otaku Culture, but to begin he has some minor leaps to make. Teaching the locals how to read the manga he is sharing. This short anime will have you glued to the screen begging for the guy to make his move and have his way with the ...

  • How to properly make an anime about Otaku life
It's been a year since I first watched Outbreak Company, and I've given it other watches since then (it's pretty brisk with only 12 episodes). One thing I will say though is that it's under appreciated.

The basic idea of Outbreak Company is simple. Our hero (if you can call him that), Shin'ichi is given the quest of introducing the natives of this alternate dimension to the joys of ...

  • Outbreak company, lots of fun, not much else.
so, first off i love this series so i am biased. its a ecchi harem, so take that as you will.
second off, there is a dub.
its a pretty generic show, but its a lot of fun.
its nothing great, nothing new. stuff you've seen before.
as for the artwork, geneally the back ground are wonderful.
the charciters are nothing special, again nothing exceptional. but they were not annoying, and the ...

  • When interest turns to boredom....
The first episode was kinda cool, then it all got annoying and (dare I say) pointless. I just can't take another harem anime with no real plot or point other than "Don't you appreciate that the world we live in works better than this other magical world that the closet nerd is trying to fix?" Others might like this, and that's great. I personally can't take it.

  • More than meets the eye
What is your impression when reading the synopsis for this series? Your typical otaku anime, right? Tropes and character design cliches abound, "Outbreak Company" appears to fit well into a certain well-defined type of wish-fulfillment fantasy.
This is the point where I'm supposed to say that appearances can be deceiving - but then I would not be telling the truth. Outbreak Company is a ...

One of my favorite anime ever now!
Let me tell you, man. THIS, ANIME, ROCKS!. The main character is BY FAR the most connectable person, ever! The story is really good, and leave almost no loose ends. The references, oh man the references, SO AMAZING. And, of course, the comedy is amazing! I don't think I have laughed this much, well, ever!

1000/10 would literally watch this every week for the rest of my life.

A favorite of mine that deserves more recognition.
Outbreak Company is one of many good anime that go unnoticed unfortunately. It focuses on an otaku that is sent to another world by the Japanese government to promote Japanese (mainly otaku) culture. It is an interesting premise that has unforgettable characters. Also, references are a plethora in this anime. See if you can spot some of them.
