    Pale Cocoon: A Must See
Many years have passed since a group of humans retreated to an artificial colony above the planet’s surface. The colorful world that existed was ruined by human foolishness, making it unfit for human civilization. Much of the recorded history before the move has been forgotten, despite the numerous advances in technology. The last remaining information lies in the annals of data, much of it in ...

    Wrapped in tech in time
A Cool anime even if its just one episode. its one that speaks volumes on how we inter act with information and how its kept. I feel its one for our time and reflect the changing times. There is not a lot of talking but somethings speak for them self.

    Very powerful visual and concept
I've not got a lot to say - but this is a remarkable 23 minutes!

The message is very strong, and the plot twist I didn't even see coming, it was of block buster budget quality.

Although, I disagree with idea it's perfect as it is. This is a small concept bubble of what it could have been. I don't think it would be utilised properly in a drawn out 12 episode anime, but as an animated movie ...

    Watch once, then watch again
Pale cocoon tells an interesting story in a round about way. You see the story unfurl more or less as if you were the main character as he uncovers bits and pieces of his people lost past. Watch it once, then after you seen what the world is like, go back and watch it again to see all the subtle details that you may have missed. It is only 23+ minutes long and well worth the second ...

Pale Cocoon - Short but Sweet
Although Pale Cocoon is only 23 minutes long, it is still very enjoyable. The animation is gorgeous. The music is nice. The story is able to be told in it's short time span.
I was left wanting more when it ended.

    Challenging but very engaging viewing
It takes some brain power to follow as the director is not spoon feeding but drip feeding you the story. The pace is so slow that it feels hellish, but that is precisely how you come to understand the world of Pale Cocoon. By the end of the show you know you never want to live in this world, and it makes you ask how many humans do we need on this planet? How many humans does it take to maintain a ...

  • Interesting...Very, Very Interesting
I came into this show completely blind-sided from what it would bring. I saw that it was short and well rated, and this sparked my interest. Well, it was right to spark my interest because it was interesting. Unlike most shows, this show revolves around plot as opposed to character. You could call the character "the narrator" since that would be a fitting title for him. He kind of helps the plot ...

  • Interesting short story, but ending isn't really inspiring
The setting has a very claustrophobic and isolated feel to it. The characters seem lifeless, surrounded by metal and stairs. One man holds the curiosity and strives to uncover the truth about the Earth's past...

A motivational story about taking that step up those stairs to discover who you are.

  • Pale Cocoon is a Breathtaking OVA
I went into it sceptical and came out a believer. This was a great OVA. I have never seen such a shot OVA put as much thought provoking ideas into this short of time. you owe it to yourself to at least try it. Pale Cocoon will open your eyes and make you think about the deep and powerful things in life.

  • A Brilliantly Concise Anime
Pale Cocoon does a really beautiful job of telling a complete story (and a very good one at that) in a single 23 minute and 15 second episode. It's clear that the creators weren't aiming for a series or even a movie. They just had one simple, poignant and very relevant story to tell and did so as efficiently as possible. I highly recommend giving it a watch.
