    More Heartfelt than First Expected
I did not expect to come out of this drama loving it so much. You never really know how 'overweight people' stories are going to play out, whether the message will be one worth ingesting or not, but your expectations are never very high.

This drama had so much of worth to say, and it said it so beautifully, with the most honest, heartfelt, difficult truths coming in the second half. I cried ...

Her weight isn't even the issue!
Simple love story with a women who's able to change her weight on a whim. Her weight doesn't become an issue anymore fairly early into the show in which love becomes the main problem. Seriously, she can gain & lose about 50lbs within 2 weeks without pills and leave no stretch marks.

In all, it's a nice heartwarming show, I really love her personality. Very cheery, energetic, positive and ...

    If you're into drama--
Truthfully, I started this series about a year or two ago, but I had completely forgotten about it for some reason. I remember watching this due to the main couple in this series who had also both starred in another drama that had made me cry tons. This series is good, especially if you're one for emotional scenes.

    It Gets Gradually Better
The first few episodes are a bit on the average side. I slowly got into the series and kept liking it more and more, and I liked the ending. This drama is about a woman who keeps changing weight. She says she wants to marry a pastry chef. You will see that she loses and gains weight real fast-- in the order of 2 or 3 weeks or less. There are several unrealistic things, such as wanting to get ...

  • Good (fun) story! Enjoyed it!
This is more than just a story about a girl who is overweight, then loses it only to regain it again. Well, that's the backbone of the story but I was surprised to find that it wasn't the entire story.

It's a story that has comedy, drama, and romance. But at it's heart it's about a friendship between two people.

This is a fun story for everyone in the family to enjoy!

The Fat Suit Genre in Film
Perhaps I'm way into this genre than I should be. I feel this show was in responds to Korean box office hit "200 Pound Beauty." I wouldn't say it's a copy but a response to it.

There are other famous body suit movies that made a box office hits in the past, Chinese movies; Sammi Cheng and Andy Lau in "Love on a Diet" and Andy Lau in "Running on Karma," which was a muscle suit.

    American ...

It was alright yet not great
I'm not to into this whole idea of fat shaming. The series had a lot of humourous moments and it really made you feel for the characters. I felt bad for Kensaku and Hitomi. I wish they were expanded on and didn't take a back seat to the main couple.

Over the top but strangely fun
But I strangely am enjoying this product of offensive anti-fat culture. Those here in North America will be very much annoyed by the fat stereotypes portrayed in this show.

I will rate this the same as Itazura na kiss - over the top but you keep want to find out what happens next.

Kill Bill's Chiaki Kuriyama turns in a great performance as the chain-smoking friend providing common sense.

The Show To Kickstart Eating Disorders
*Trigger Warning* Eating disorders, Diet Culture, Fat Phobia, Appearance Based Bullying

This has to be one of the most disgusting shows I've ever have the displeasure of viewing. I seriously couldn't get farther than 3 episodes. I tried, I thought it would begin to get better, but it just got worse and worse. In a thin obsessed culture, this show scrapes the bottom of the barrel. This show ...
