  • Slow First Episode - fantastic build to a heartwarming conclusion
    Mature, funny, heartwarming.

Really wish they had been able to expand this to a full fledged 24 episodes as it does feel like the seccondary characters do not get fleshed out, as it stands though the core story between MoriMori and 'Sakara-Chan' (hah) is fantastic.

Definitely a series that builds with every episode, the first is not particularly funny or good really, but man does it pull up; ...

  • Very sweet and light heart anime
Oh my god What to say about this anime ! It hit me right in the feels Lmao
I as well could relate to the main character so much ! Moriko was a neet who quit her job and with nothing else to do started playing MMO again which starts a whole chain in the story . After meeting a guild and making friends she becomes very good friends with Lily <3 And omg there relationship is just so sweet . I'm ...

  • Doesn't quite land, maybe needed more time?
There's a lot of good pieces here, and the animation and execution was fine, but think missed details in the story made it fall a bit flat in the end. Key, I think, was that I never bought into any of the tension in the middle of the show: The destiny awaiting the protagonists was never in doubt, making the beats pretty predictable.

  • This speaks to me and my adult problems!
ever since becoming an "adult" I've rarely had any time to play a lot of mmos and stuff that I used to love spending my time doing. I put this on my queue a few months back cause the title sounded interesting and I heard lots of good things about this anime. well I finished my newbie training at work and now I have time off and stuff to catch up on anime. I literally stayed up all night watching ...

  • Funny, heart-warming, and relatable
This romance comedy was a great binge for me. I laughed out loud, I called out for characters to make their move, I empathized with the struggles of the unemployed Moriko and lonely Sakurai. It's not as long as I wish I could be, since I wish I could see more of the supporting casts' relationships. But it's still a real great show I strongly recommend for anyone seeking a good laugh or a ...

  • I had a good feeling
I had a sneaking suspicion that this would be a good series, though I'd never read anything about it before. Watching it, thankfully my suspicions were confirmed!
Recovery of an MMO Junkie is a charming and simple anime that's really easy to start watching and keep going. It's an adorable show with relatable characters and feelings. The characters, in general, are fun to watch and are all unique ...

  • Not for everyone but definitely a cute show
I have to admit this show was a bit different. Usually you have the male being the neet maybe potentially meeting a woman who is far beyond his level. However, here you have the opposite. I do say that the two main leads are just extraordinarily cute. I felt like a mother hen watching the two characters grow closer together. I do say though that this anime is pretty short and I wish that they ...

  • A pairing that's way too cute
Incredibly cute and immediately relatable, especially if you play games and have just recently entered the workforce from college. Even if you aren't any of those things, it's hard to not want to watch the next episode right away. The social commentary and gender aspects are less strong than expected, but it doesn't detract from the experience.

  • A pretty good series despite the misleading title
The two best things about this series are 1.) the impressive voice acting, and 2.) the goofy mannerisms of protagonist Morioka. Beyond those, this is a fairly standard series.

The two worst things are 1.) Morioka doesn't actually recover from being an MMO junkie so much as she becomes a little more open to social interaction, and 2.) this series relies FAR too heavily on coincidence. MMOs are ...

  • I was pleasantly surprised
This was a really pleasant anime. My wife and I ended up binging it on a Monday night, and I don't regret it at all. Very heart-warming and full of jokes that will make you laugh out loud if you've ever gotten invested in an MMORPG. Highly recommended.
