Great Series with an odd premise, and great characters.
This is one of my all time favorite series. It has a wonderfully odd premise, and fun characters. It doesn't fit a genre, a bit Yuri, a bit Scifi, lots of relationships, and lots of action. The main characters are female, no whiny good intentioned boys having to prove themselves. The first episode is a great introduction, give it a shot.

    this anime rocks!!!!
I love this anime, I first saw the original Read or Die all long time ago, loved it so much that I bought the DVD. When I saw this anime I wondered if it was like the first. I loved the characters in this anime the tall stoic Maggie, the ditzy Michelle and the antisocial Anita, all of them brought together by one person. Nenene her personality is a force to behold, she is the glue that binds them ...

A bit different but an amazing show with a great soundtrack
This is one of those shows I saw a long time ago and have since purchased it. It is about a family of sorts going through the growing pains of learning to live with each other and the crazy changing environment that they currently live in. It has several slow points throughout the story but nothing that I ever thought was meaningless. Along the way a lot of great characters come into play. If you ...

    I love re-watching this one
This was one of the first animes I ever watched and I think it spoiled me ;-) Admittedly I wanted to hear more about the plots, more about the magic, and so on. But it's fantastic even so. The quirky good humour, the slice of life, and the fantasy with a sci fi bent ... I ate it up, years ago. And unlike other non-Simulcast anime I've watched, it's still fresh and vibrant, and while the drawings ...

A must watch, giving you loveable characters, with excellent moments.
This is one of those shows that can easily draw you in, and make you wish there was more, more I say! This show has a predominately female cast of characters, but non of them ever falls into the role of male character who happens to be female, meaning that we get strong female characters who retain their femininity, and that alone is something rarely seen consistently in most media.

    The ...

This story is about 3 sisters with the ability to control paper, their main objective is to be the bodyguards of famous Japanese author Nenene Sumiregawa . In the process the 3 sisters ( Maggie Mui, Michelle Cheung and Anita King) end up living with Nenene Sumiregawa. I sot of ...

One of the best anime titles that slips your mind.
R.O.D. also known as Read Or DIe. Based on a light novel of the same name.,This series is fantastic. It is funny, well written and engaging. It is the sequel to the three episode R.O.D. OVA (Also fantastic) which introduces us to the paper master Yomiko Readman. I highly recommend watching the OVA.

The series revolves around the "Paper sisters" who are three paper masters (They can manipulate ...

    A surprise awesome experience!
Didn't know what to expect with ROD, but WOW! I love the use of music, the idea of paper manipulation is unique and incredible. I also really liked the use of the music during the thunderstorm downpour in the early "search" scene. It was just amazing. Where have they been hiding this anime?

Well, I am hooked now... one more series to watch.
