  • An interesting story..
Story: [3] Interesting "heroes' journey" story type. It has many elements and influences from Naruto, Bleach, etc...so if you are familiar with them you will be comfortable with this story.

Characters: [4] I enjoy this aspect the most and is probably why I watch it. They (the four main female protogranists and the secondary characters) have great personalities. They all grow and develop with ...

    I love RWBY but......
It's recently fallen short of the expectations I had for it.

Volume 1 and 2 were very rough but overall I enjoyed them as they were an introduction to the world and I guess what passes for cues.
If I had to rate it by seasons -
Season 1 and 2 both... 2.5-3 stars for being entertaining with amazing fight scenes. They lose points on sub par animation in several scenes. (Character movements not ...

    VoiceActorsAreTrash!
Volumes 1-3 with the Japanese VA's are great solid 8/10.
However the original English VA's are utter trash and ruined the show completely.
It really bothers me because the show is pretty damn great too.
Do yourself a favor and wait for the other volumes to get a Japanese dub.

Nope nope nope couldn't even get through the first 3 episodes it was so shity
Shity animation, shity character's, and a shity script. DO NOT invest your time into watching this!! It is God awful and belongs in a trash bin. It looks like it was literally made with the programs that they use to make mmd's. Pretty much everything on the show makes no sense and I've never met someone in my life who actually likes this garbage.

  • Rather different from Japanese anime, but in a good way
First let's get this out of the way: This is a CGI animated show produced by Americans in English. It is heavily influenced by Japanese anime, but is distinctly different. Probably the best difference is the lack of tropey fanservice.

The general animation quality starts out low, and then increases as the seasons progress. The background characters stop being just silhouettes eventually. ...

    3d animation sucks bad
i have a friend who is so crazy about this show and when he showed me it i wondered why because the 3d animation looked so bar, simple, and lame and that just makes it bad for me because 3d animation can be good like if youve seen the netflix godzilla anime but this looks like it was made in mmd or sfm. i dont understand

watchable 3d is is not the same thing as good 3d
I think the first thing anyone ever sees in this anime is the 3d animation. People say it's a masterpiece, but it really isn't. Last year (2017) there was an anime called Land of the Lustrous. It was fully 3d and when I watched it, I was blown away. I came back to Rwby to see that the animation was just too ... easy? Yeah they had small movements with the talking scenes (which were honestly pretty ...

    Was great until animator died
Seasons 1-3 were pretty good, but after that the lead animator Monty Oum died and RT really doesn't have anybody that can hold a candle to him. Everything past Season 3 just gets worse and worse as RT has to think for themselves rather than have Monty do it for them.
