The anime is definitely of track from the Manga. Plus it's squeezing in another Manga series. But the general westward theme os consistent. They probably won't do the major changes until just before the transition to Reload.

Kougaiji's got a great chanting voice. Can't recall what Sanzo sounds like when chanting... Love the way Kanzeon messes with Sanzo. I hope we get to see how zhe messes with Konzen too. XD
