  • Come for the art, stay for the story and feelings
I didn't know what to expect with this. I had seen it on youtube lists here and there, but without back back ground info, I jumped in. And I have to admit, I was swept away. All the characters are well thought out, well acted, and totally relatable. Every character becomes a memorable part of this story. It's an easy watch, not overly dramatic, probably a little far fetched, but what can 5 ...

  • So much better than it looks
I found this show from a list for "what to watch next after you've finished 'recovery of an mmo addict'". This show was listed because it was about young people trying to find their place in a world of work and having troubles (like the main character of MMO). As someone in the age range of the characters, with similar troubles, and a bit bored of high school animes, I added it to my queue for ...

  • A promising start/finale bookends a lackluster middle
I wanted to like this show a lot more than I did. I felt like the first episode was really strong and got me invested. And I really did enjoy the early episodes - especially how they focused on some of the unique qualities of rural life. But somewhere around the middle portion of the show it felt like things were dragging a bit? It was just hard to muster up enthusiasm to keep ...

  • One of the best slice of life shows that I have seen so far
This show has a lot of really great qualities to it. It is by far one the best life of life shows that I have seen and I have seen a lot. If you liked Shirobako this show is very similar in terms of character depth and the feels. Each character shows a lot of character growth throughout the anime and each one has a very unique back story and personality. There are also a large number of secondary ...

  • A truly spectacular voyage
In what has become almost a staple of PA Works, this shines through as another beacon of true light and humanity into a medium that is normally reserved for the extravagant, the epic, the anime-ish plots.

Delivering a good anime touching on very similar topics as Hanasaku Iroha and Shirobako did and actually not coming as stale is something I consider brilliant. This anime has been a simply ...

  • rural town meets city girl, it works
i really enjoyed this story of how rural towns are trying to breathe new life into what might be its lasts gasps, with many children growing up and leaving these towns to go to the big city, it definitely has a broad appeal. how each character has their own demons about why they are there and what it takes to keep them there, Sakura Quest is a fine example of art imitating life, you actually get ...

  • Possibly the best series of the season.
I really wish there was more out there like this. Soothing and wonderful, even while the characters fall in to a few tropes, they have real personalities and are easy to identify with.

This really is all about where drama is best seen, no need for monsters or mecha (not that either are bad) just "real" people coming together to deal with real problems.

  • A Great show, Don't miss out on it
I actually skipped this when It originally came out and that was a hell of a mistake. It's been a while since I enjoyed something so much. The writing is down to earth and well thought out the characters act like real people and and not hollow tropes is solid and believable and I came to care deeply for all these characters by the end. With the characters also being all adults also is a breath of ...

  • If you think anime is dead, consider watching this
Why did I love Sakura Quest so much? For starters it’s very relatable. Being an adult that floundered through life I can relate to our heroines trying to find their place in a world that believes they should’ve already found it. Who am I & what do I want are profound questions each must ask his/her soul and this show understands that it’s okay not to have those answers. This is in stark contrast ...

  • Fun, But Lacking In Direction
This show has some really great things going for it but as a slice-of-life type of affair it doesn't seem to have anywhere to really go with a lot of those things. The characters feel vibrant and interesting, the setting is funny and quaint, but there's no real propulsion to anything really meaningful. It's just folks living. It's not a bad show but it does seem like it wasted it potential.
