  • Relaxing and entertaining!
This anime has a large focus on culture and character development. It is quite different from many of the action shows I normally watch. However, in its own right, it is put together very well and comes with a great plot, solid artwork, and realistic characterization. I would recommend it to any anime enthusiast, it is entertaining and comes with some good life lessons.

  • Amazing, amazing show!
Sakura Quest is such a wonderful show--I cannot recommend it enough! There's too much awesome, it's hard to know where to start!

For one, each of the five main characters are endearing in their own ways, and I found many of their lives and choices pretty relatable.

Furthermore, the show deals with issues such as rural depopulation, town renewal and the loss of cultural knowledge in ...

  • One of the best slice of life animes to come out in 2017
This is a slice of life anime that is worth every minute of time and it's one that hit home for me. The characters are well flushed out and the anime paces itself very well. There's an actual plot and there isn't a lick fan service. Sakura Quest is one of the best slice of life animes to come out in 2017, and I don't understand why this anime was not hyped up more nor do I understand why it's ...

  • I had feelings ! ! !
This series had great storytelling and interesting characters. I cried a few times.... worth the watch if you want a good slice of life. It had interesting quirks in the storylines and the character design was cute and modern. The Kingdom of Chupakabura lives on!

really good story about a town
the story divided into the first and 2 season. the first is very tight and progresses the characters really well.it the first half of the year at the town. the second season is very much filler episodes and while some show more about why people leave small towns i think the story-line kinda drag on very long. it not even until the last three episodes that you get action which makes me think they ...

  • Don't be fooled; this is a Gem!
You wouldn't think Sakura Quest was anything special from it's start. It seems like a cut and paste slice-of-life with all female leads. However, this anime is a story that grows and blossoms slowly it a beautiful tale of growing up (but never growing "old"), friendship, hard work, failure, success, and finding a dream and holding onto it (even if you let it go once). I can recommend it ...

  • Heartfelt Show that talks about Urban Issues
Part of the 'working series' by P.A. Works, it is a heartfelt show which deals with a rural Japanese town slowly losing it's population. The Tourism Bureau hires a woman to help revitalize the town.

Attempts succeed and fail and as time goes on, you develop an attachment to the town. It deals with urban issues such as tourism, downtown revitalization, transportation, cultural heritage, Airbnb, ...

The Most Heartfelt Way to Show a Boring Topic
Sakura Quest, from the same studio and in the same Working Girls series as Shirobako, is about the tourism board in a small country town named Manoyama. While most of the series is essentially politics, it's all portrayed in a more emotional and human way, something that is exceptionally difficult to do, but is executed perfectly here. As the series progresses, there's more attachment and ...

  • Loved it, and going to miss it
I thought it was just a heartwarming show at first, but I fell in love with the characters and the town. I wanted to see the town thrive again and I wanted the characters to be happy and for them to follow their dreams. 10/10 Where did these onions come from? Need season 2 now.
