The basic premise of this series is simple: an ex-spy named Erika has resigned from her previous job and has now become just a normal woman living a normal family life, but she is brought back in to the "spy life" after an old work associate of hers drags her in.
Each episode of this series (up until the last 4 or 5 episodes) is completely self contained, so you could skip an episode or two and still not miss any significant story development. The fighting scene are clearly extremely choreographed (you can clearly tell from the cut frames that some of the hits aren't "real"), but this doesn't take away at all from the show, because most of the time you're jumping in your seat because Erika is finally kicking some butt!
Although the storyline is generic, the twists (especially at the end of the series) and the family twist (hiding her secret from her husband and child, etc.) make the story a unique one, at least from what I've seen. The music isn't particularly amazing, but the action tunes play at just the right moment in every episode to where it feels much more spectacular than it actually is. Bravo to the creators on being able to pull that off.
I love the variety of characters in this show. there are only 5 recurring characters (the main 5 characters of the series) as the rest of the characters generally appear in just one episode and don't reappear. However, each of them have a completely different personality and the combination of them gives a nice and unique feel to the story.
The acting was not bad at all; the reason I give it 4 stars is due to some of the highly choreographed fight scenes (which, again, do not take away from the show at all) and Koutarou's acting seemed forced a lot of the time (I'm sure once you watch it, you'll see what I mean).
I absolutely recommend this show! This is the first drama I've completely watched on Crunchyroll and I'm so glad it was, because now I'm hooked!
Watch this show! It will not disappoint!
