awesome anime, didnt really get it at first but by the third ep i had to know what'd happen next, that said the first ep is strange and not that eye catching for a first ep

Such a great show. I haven't seen it in a long time. The story is almost new to me. The quality is kinda low but I'm just spoiled by the current fansubs. This show isn't really scary it just makes you think a little.
This show came out in 1998. It's about a girl who enters the world of The Wired, kinda like the Internet, and finds more sides to herself. Deals with communication and the like.
I love this show. I watched it when it was on tech tv (stupid G4 ate them). If its up here that means no one has the license anymore or did they do something special?? Oh well its still sweet.

Higurashi vs Lain?
Yeah, that is a weak comparison. They are just both psychological animes, no more no less. That would be like saying Boogiepop is very similar to Lain. Or for that matter Jigoku Shoujo.
JusticexFreedom: Lain came out long before Higurashi. So it's Higurashi that's like Lain.
Granted, I don't really see the similarity between the two, aside both being psychological anime.
Unless you're talking about a different Higurashi.
I watched this anime many years ago and it seriously drove me crazy. and I am having Lain as my English name for the last 2 years xDD. some ppl thought i am such a weirdo and freak thou.
