no,that article you read about was not the real hanamichi sakuragi,that's Yoshiki's picture,nobody's sure if sakuragi is real or not but shohoku high school is real tho.
sakuragi hanamichi died in 1958 after losing the first round of the nationals he was hit by a car and lived because of his tough body,but die dbefore surgery from internal bleeding
I think that the manga is finished but not sure. I was just wondering i heard that Salmdunk was based on a true story and that guy that its about dies. Does that mean that Hanamachi is going to die? PLZ SAY NO!

in the nationals they first play that team from osaka and then they beat the no. 1 seed in the league, but because they were so exhausted they lost the 2nd round( which was the next day) to the guy who broke his back against that big guy...
hey there...I will miss this series now. since it is the end of all the episodes I seen, Sakuragi, has improved, and yet, he seems to keep making mistakes all the time, I'll miss them, as much i'll miss my skool dayz too. Anyone agree?
