The GT1 NSX is equipped with a sequential manual gearbox, it is unnecessary to use the clutch to shift up, only for launching. However, Tsuchiya does use the clutch for heel-toe shifting.
cause on real circuits, you dont have enough time to shift therefore you use tiptronic. That's why the GTR35 is equipped with it and most testers does not use the shift knob because of the preprogrammed shifting software.
