Each episode carries a great memory, a feeling of immense compassion and tenderness. I love this series. It reminds you that people aren't cold and callus, just that sometimes they let things get them down.
I like a good tragic hero story. This episode really drives it home with him getting sick and pushing himself nonetheless. If you like this main character I suggest you play Growlanser IV: PS2
A wonderful episode, but based on a misconception of how trees grow ... no matter how long you wait, the branch won't be getting any higher. Even if we let that slide, a tree that old probably adds only a few inches over 50 years ...
They look like females because I don't think many Youkai cut there hair.. And I'm pretty sure that all the characters in this anime are fairly androgynous. Though that's how anime can be.
