I agree with Unaru, this was the most logical ending. This series ended with more of a conclusion than most anime stories, even if it wasn't the desired ending
As much as it may be considered a "bad ending" it was a logical one. Akane deserved to be with Keita to the end. Kuro accepted that and that my friends is love at its finest. The ability to love someone enough to let him find happiness.
y was keita so old but kuro just looked like she was younger such a sad ending i wanted them to end up together y *cryin'* it's just so sad that many people died in this anime
I feel that the true ending is ep. 22 this just feels like an extra with scenes that are meant to build on the story. So as an ep it sucks but as an add-on it works.
I seen the ending after the credits nothing worth watching u see keita as an old man its stupid he was suppose to end up with Kuro until they both died. Endings like this piss me off they should always add an alternate ending.
I don't see why you guys are complaining, It's a fitting ending that left no questions, They couldn't have ended it any other way without tieing it all together.
You can tell how many people watch the post-ending credit bits, and which people don't. She doesn't just vanish - and you've missed some good foreshadowing throughout the series that aren't actually spoilers of later episodes.
now probibly the makers of this anime might need to fix this ituation or any ppl will probibly come up with pitchforks and kick there stupid butts for making such a stupid ending!
The was such a dumb ending, Its shit. good anime throughout but god,i wish kuro was still there. I feel there was no use in watching this anime if she was gonna die in the end anyway. i was rooting for Keita and Kuro not Keito and Akane.

keita is a terrible MC, he just used Kudo. After all they went through all she did for him, Keita went for the whore Akane. He probably he wanted to keep being a bum. Kura deserved much more.
This anime, though not great, somehow kept my attention all the way until the end... which was a rehash of the story. Keita and Akane got married (which was stupid). Kuro should have taken Keita with her to the Pure Place, better ending.
How I manged to force myself through this anime alludes me. Every time this anime started to get good it would just fall back into mediocrity. I hate being a completionist. And really ending with a recap ep then making an unnecessary sad en

that sucks i wanted keita to end up with kuro and the way keita died kinda failed his grandchildren found him is it just me or wouldnt that kinda scar teh kids for life but all in all it was fine i supose i wanna know what kuro did after
