(this might have been better in a PM), and Katie needs to be in school full time. I'm officially divorced. That came thru the beginning of June. Ian and I are actually building a decent friendship, and we are both healing well from that.
and broken, but I'm mending now, and I think I'm ready to start living again. I've been writing a lot of music, but it's all very depressing. I'm making plans for uni, myself, to start in a couple of years. (I need music prereqs first,...
I'm glad Plant is back. I was going to ask about her. Why are you looking up biological pathways and corsets? I'm really glad uni went well for you! =D Hmmm... me huh? Well, I kinda had breakdown this year. I got pretty messed up...
Well, I noticed it in my inbox, and managed to remember my password. Uni went surprisingly well, so I'm still on a bursary for next year. Plant is now back. I'm now sitting around with housemates looking up biological pathways and corsets.
Omhck!! this is awesome. I just happened to be back myself. I've been off pretty much since Feb. What a coincidence that you are on at the same time! How did school go for you? And everything else?
Hi there, this must be the first time I've been on CR since about Christmas. shocking! I've been keeping quite well, exams, moving, familial fun etc. How about yourself?
have a good sleep. it was great catching up just a little. coughing doesn't sound so good, y'know. *worried frown* I noticed that about the movie, but it's hard to catch some of the stuff Frank wrote about in a blockbuster film.
No, no, no. The remake which attempts to mirror the epic length of the book. I had watched the first 3 hours yesterday. Bed now, I have moved to the sofa to combat the damp, I don't cough down here, my stuff is moving tomorrow.
Well, you may have chosen it, but mould wasn't really an issue in the summer, I'll bet. I know what you mean, though. Every time I move I find something new to ask about, or check for. (electrical outlet, phone jacks, do the windows open)
sorry...aunts. *embarassed* So you are kind of stuck in that room for at least the rest of the year? That's kinda...not friendly. I'm sorry. UAE sounds adventurous. I hope she's enjoying it! It must be hard with her so far away. =(
The room is in my rented house in Nottingham. I don't move to my aunt's (not uncle) until next Saturday. The plant is okay, sitting on my window-sill, suffering a little from the cold but still nice and green. She's fine, just started...
ew. That doesn't sound very healthy. <=S I'd rather have biting cold than "damp" anyday, tbh. Is this the room at your uncles? How is your Plant doing?
On the subject of cold; was listening to Garrison Keillor (of Lake Woebegone fame) last night, how discussed the weather in Nunavut, saying that they forecast the "Seconds to Frostbite", not the temperature, I wonder who measures that.
Brr... not that cold here fortunately, just peeking above zero still during the day, unfortunately my room is damp and the radiator doesn't work, I just wiped the mould off the walls and have wrapped up and opened the window.
Uni's been okay, I've got a month's worth of holiday now. Just enough time to revise for the exams in Jan. It is nice to have a break in the winter so you can go into hibernation for a little bit.
Wow... I didn't actually expect an answer so quick. Life here is up and down. I'm taking a bit of a break b4 the new year, but then it should be up again. It must be exciting for you to seem your parents again! How are classes going?
Hi, yeah, I've been somewhat MIA, lots going on and being lazy. I'm not going home as such, just to reliatives in a week until the new year, my parents are coming over for Christmas. How's things with you?
It took me a minute to figure out that Turisas and Dragonforce were bands. Would I be able to google/youtube/imeem them? I'm not so sure I'd trust the chinese takeaway myself, but it sounds like fun! =)
True. *hugs back* On an up-note; saw Turisas (who were stupidly amazing) and Dragonforce (who were mainly uninspiring) yesterday, then went to another gig and got given the bands leftover chinese takeaway (and other random stuff).
Right...she's away. bones have mended, spirits are good. How bout yours? Is school going well for ya, so far? I'm sorry Plant is so far away. It must be hard.
I'm quite good atm. Having fun with the start of term, taking my mind off Plant's leaving. We're in our first full week of lectures now, but I've got lots of socialising to catch up on from the holidays. I hope the bones and spirits heal.
Wheeeee!! Smothers GB with *hugs* OMHck! I thought you finally fell off one of those cliffs you are always climbing! I'm am loads better now that I've heard from you (and that's a trick!) I'm actually doing really well.
*sneaks up and taps on shoulder* According to your "fall and break arm" theory my mum isn't a real mother yet. I have yet to (knowingly) break any bones.
Did you say you think I will "enjoy" it? My divorce? That's an odd sentiment. I mean, it's prolly true (I'm really happy), but certainly not the normal thing to say. =) Any big plans b'sides work, for the rest of summer?
I'm not sure what the job's going to be like, it varies. It can be looking after children, adults or senior citizens. And can be days, weekends or nights, depending upon when I'm free, the agency seemed very flexible.
have a better idea of what's really going on. I think we have everything settled between us, but Ian can't even look for a new place until he knows how much child support will be. It's a vicious cycle. *ugh*
I'm good. I've been pretty moody, and I think it's cuz my heart is totally out of Ian's life, but my body is still stuck there, and my mind doesn't know which way to go. It will get better once the lawyers start talking, and then we ...
Plant's at her parent's place, she's gone back for a couple of weeks to see them and do a short job. I've basically got the job now, though I need to wait for my criminal records check to come through. I'm going in for the training...
lol...so where is plant, if not in the UK with you? (thought that would be the draw for you to go back). what kind of work are you looking for? Same as last year?
Yeah, I've had the haircut (and am now less shaggy... *tries not to make a crude joke about his g/f being away*) I have another 2 months (terms begins at the end of september over here) and yes, I am back in the UK
sonds like life is hopping. I'm not sure why your friend having mates over makes your house crowded...unless you are back in England again. It's the end of July, isnt it a bit late to be thinking of work, for only one month?
I'm surviving. My friend has mates over so the house is overrun at the moment, and plant's gone home. I need to sort out my job this week, but in order to do that I need a haircut, and the barber's is closed. *hectic*
I like this...it's full bodies and strong. I luv multi-layered songs that expand the senses. I've really got to figure out how to download music. I guarantee, I'm not going to be able to get this (or yesterdays stuff) here.
I searched them out after my post yesterday. I really like them, but I'm Canadian, and that type of music is part of our culture. Listening to your new embed now.
Yeah, my favourite song by them is "Drachentoter" (Dragon Killer). They use hurdy gurdies ^^ I'm sort of back now, I'm leeching off a local wireless connection
Henz, I miss you. I know, busy, busy, busy. Yyour music just came up... listening. Very Jethro Tull. I luv this kind of music...is all their stuff like this? Oh... I liked that.
Hi. I just got back from a holiday in old East Germany (lots of brilliant scenery). I'm now free from uni until September, I'll be going back to the UK in a couple of weeks, before that my g/f's coming over to go to a music festival w/ me.
You say that your location is with your nose to the grindstone. must hurt. sounds busy. How are your parents? I hope everything is okay. Have fun tonight!
I forget the previous conversation involving my nose... anyway, I'm okay, slightly exhausted having had a 6 hour long meeting / picnic and then getting a phone call from my parents and cycling home. I'm now off for dinner.
I reckon I get my fair share of the heavy music scene, to put it mildly. I wear ear plugs though. I have dinner to go and eat... enjoy the rest of your day.
Lolz. My friends have taken to describing my taste in music as "too old and with pointlessly long guitar solos". I do like Jethro Tull and think I've heard and liked Marillon before. I get most of my music love from my mum >> << >>
I get chucked out of hall for the day. I'm not going to the festival since it's all "Indie" and "Grime" (London rap) neither of which I'm into and it's quite expensive for what it is. I'm going to my g/f's birthday and a Metal night instead
The stage for the Uni's summer party (biggest student festival in Europe) is being set up about 5 meters from my window, and they're doing the sound tests (needs ear plugs).
klkl - though I would have to say some opera is quite fun (Mozart's "Magic Flute" and Wagner's "Flying Dutchman") though much of it depends upon the production. You could try suggesting some music to me. ^^
Umm... I'm not really in to that sort of music tbh. I prefer my rock, metal and goth (alongside classical, baroque, jazz & MediƦval) Joins the headbanging questionners!!! Newa, try "Crime in Stereo".
