You need to keep an eye out on this series.
Silver Spoon is a manga inspired by the real life of the mangaka of Full Metal Alchemist Arakawa Hiromu. growing up on a farm in Hokkaido inspired her to pen this manga. what I love about it is that it is very informative on how agriculture is handled differently in Japan than it is in the US (of which I have a lot of experience because I grew up on a farm) and also it's similarities. sure it has ...

As good as three Sapporo domes?
If the anime is even close to being as good as the manga, this should be one the best shows of the season. If it isn't, I look forward to Silver Spoon brotherhood. It's a straight on look at look at farming, agriculture, and where bacon comes from (but not cheese - that's supposed to be a secret).

Lots of questions are raised that do not have a single correct answer; all of characters are ...

More Than Just A "Farming Anime"
If you want to watch the same action anime where the hero has to save the world over and over again, than fine.

If you want to watch the latest moe anime with the most popular kawaii high school girls for the moment, that's fine, too.

But if you want an anime that is different from the rest, has great character development, is genuinely inspiring, teaches you lessons about life and things ...

    First Impression of Silver Spoon
My first thought when I saw this anime, I thought, "Full Metal Alchemist?"
    My second thought was "Cow?"
Ladies and Gents, Silver Spoon is an extraordinary anime that does not follow the usual background of modern anime. The plot is set in Northern part of Japan and a large agricultural high school. Without spoiling too much of the plot, our main character. yes the one that has a cow eating his ...

An awesome welcome to the new anime season!
Well, I'll keep this brief as I'll lose the will to type as soon as the ending for episode 2 ends...I'm going to be giving this anime a five out of five. You may ask why; Good question, I'll tell you why.

First and foremost we're thrown into a dynamic environment with a many different, yet likeable characters. The main character is some dude at this random high school with little to no ...

You Need To Watch Silver Spoon
Silver Spoon is a genre about a subject which virtually no people I know care about. Slice of Life? Farming? In today's world, we don't really stop and consider the food we eat. Do you hate farming? Slice of Life? Well, this is still a perfect show for you.

Why? It's well-grounded in it's main character, who has no idea what the heck is going on. The protagonist, Hachiken, is plagued by his ...

    What An Unexpectedly Great Anime
Two days ago, I was looking for an anime to fill in the gap until Nagi no Asukrara, Golden Time, and Nisekoi rolled along. Unfortunately, this anime captivated me to the point where I unconsciously did a marathon through all 21 episodes. Before I knew it, I was back to step one in searching for an anime to fill in the gaps.

Needless to say, Silver Spoon has quickly become one of my top ten ...

If you like harvest moon you will like this
Sure its about modern farming and what goes with it but the feeling of hard work and growth as well as social aspects have the same feel. I get a good feeling after watching this anime unlike all the depressing hack n slash and overly sexualized animes this one is a is a nice breath of fresh air I approve!

One of the best anime I've seen!
Gin no Saji or Silver Spoon is a god tier anime. Why? No cliffhangers, comic relief, an MC who I can really relate with, a farm, farm animals, cute pigs, pork bowl, meat, amazing slice of life, and pork bowl.
The anime follows a student who doesn't know what he wants to do in life and transfers from his old school, in the city, to a farming school to try and figure out what he want to do in ...

    Pleasantly and happily suprised
This series is fantastic. I was a big fan of FMA and thought that because this was slice of life I would not enjoy it, boy was I wrong. This is extremely entertaining and I would recommend it to anyone. The plot and characters are incredibly relatable and the setting is both refreshing and informative.
