Rukawa is probably feeling like he 'lost' to Sendo and probably feels like he should have played better and that Sakuragi saved the team from losing when he should have instead.

I'm starting to think that Sakuragi is the only thing to keep Rukawa entertained enough to stay in Basketball. Like Fukawa did for Sendo. But Rukawa's so taciturn, he makes Sendo seem gregarious.
