anyway, i was wrong. rex didn't die here. btw, did any of you realize that racer x's car is number 9? isn't that bad luck in japanese? 4 and 9 are like 13 for us so that is like the bad luck reference is from.

racer x is rex racer. get it? racer x rex racer? anyway, he really is speed racer's brother rex. he faked his own death. in the later episodes, racer x tries to help speed whenever someone tries to trap him.

Never watched the series before, but I'm really liking it so far. Sure it's a bit cheezy and quick, but it's still good. Mom seems to know who Racer X really is... Speed should've used what Pops gave him in the car >_<

Speed really should learn to better use his car's abilities. He should have activated his cockpit windscreen to protect against the weather and used his car's special headlights. Not to mention using the saws against those logs...

Pops is right, Speed doesn't have the skill necessary to beat X yet. He waited way too long to use his belt tires when he lost grip on the road. He almost went off that cliff because of it!
