  • A diamond in the rough!
I started watching this without any expectations, and I was completely hooked by the end of the first episode. I won't spoil anything, but I will say that each arc is heartbreaking and bittersweet, and I love every one of the central characters. The greatest tragedy is that it's only 13 episodes. The animation is beautiful, the music is gorgeous. I highly recommend it!

The show that could have been, should have been, would have been.
Sunday without God began by setting itself up with everything a show needs to succeed; an interesting premise, original story, good action, beautiful artwork and a cast of interesting characters. You're probably thinking, "there is no way a show like this could possibly fail!". Well, I will tell you how this show somehow managed to do so.

The first few episodes of this show are actually quite ...

    Sunday Without Sense
While I could enjoy this anime and it's story to some extent, there is so much that feels rushed and lacks a deeper connection to the overall message. If we could see an overall storyarc other than "God has abandoned us and cursed the world" it would certainly help alleviate a lot of confusion and convoluted sub-plots that make a watcher scratch their head and wonder "why and how does that fit in, ...

Smart storytelling by Sunday Without God Writers
I really like the first 12 episodes of this series. Let's hope the writing continues to hold up. I'm a little annoyed with the main characters simple minded nature but the other characters make up for the stereotypical portrait of the the female lead. Also most a 5 out of 5.

  • Sunday without God was awesome!
This was a wonderful series! The first 3 episodes were quite touching as well as the rest of the episodes. The music was pleasant as well and I loved how the ending slow slips in at the end of an episode. It's a shame that there's only 12 episode!

  • Good artwork, but plot is a bit convoluted
This anime is about a half gravekeeper half human girl. The story starts by talking about who she is and what she does which is good because that idea is a novel one (to me). This a short 12 episode series with about 3 plot arcs, however new characters are introduced in each one, but many are left behind as the show transitions. To me, it felt like each arc was either incomplete or something that ...

    Sunday without God review
5 stars. I can honestly ay that the only reason that actually picked this anime is because of the name. I generally like Shoujos, but this was a good story without a romance in it. This anime also holds a dark side to things as it shows how one comes to losing innocence. Ai is not only an adorable main character, but she has that pure and adventurous side which she loves to help other people. Ai ...

  • 神さまのいない日曜日/Sunday Without God
    Possible spoilers up ahead.

I'll be honest: Anime that deals with death is not my first choice of what to watch. I generally dislike it, my only exception to this to date being Another. However, today I am adding another exception to this: Sunday Without God.

At first I was very confused. When Hampnie Hambart mentioned Julie's daughter being "already dead" before he killed her, ...
