Touching and heartfelt but at the same time dark and a little twisted
Sunday Without God definitely isnt your average anime. It surprises you with little twists and turns, makes you fall in love with characters who are only in the series only for one episode, it truly shows you how children see the world, full of hope and optimism, even if their life if doomed to be covered in nothing but the darkness... In other words very cute, very heartfelt and touching.

    started off great, but...
This show had so much potential. First three episodes had me hooked, then it just kind of went into mediocrity. Just kinda blah after that. Not horrible, but just blah.

If anything, watch the first three episodes and then be done with it.. Those 3 alone make it worth it though.

  • Recommended to those who wish for a very unique anime.
TL;DR Very unique setting/characters. Some parts can get uninteresting and slow. Gave it 4 stars as a reviewer but as a person it is on my top anime list.
I haven't seen an anime like this since Angel Beats. It has a very unique setting and is left a very emotional impact on me. The characters also help compliment the world with the protagonist being a little girl which may have some ...

  • Magical and Profoundly Deep
I felt I had to watch the whole anime in order to give it the review it deserves. After watching the whole thing, I can confidently say that this is a great show.

-The art is intensely beautiful. That's what snatched me at first (the creators of cardcaptors right? I mean she looks like a clone of sakura lol xD)
-Rather than having a steady plot though, it's purpose is actually it's ...

A lot of potential...spiraled down a garbage shoot
Sunday Without God starts out with the focus on undead and how the world is coming to an end an God sends a gravekeeper to save the world. Now the main character i found adorable, and annoying at times part of her nature i suppose. A lot of the characters reminded me actually of Pandorah Hearts especially like Break. The story starts out intriguing with the girl meeting her father and finding out ...

    Excellent premise, mediocre execution.
Decided to watch Sunday Without God this weekend. Two words came to mind near the end of the show, squandered potential. The show has a captivating premise; God has abandoned the world he/she/it created, in doing so the remaining humans are no longer capable of dying or reproducing. God's last act of mercy was to bestow upon the earth beings known as Gravekeepers, they are the only things that can ...

Not good, not bad, just meh.
There is nothing HORRIBLE about these twelve episodes, but I kept waiting for something of real substance to happen and was at the end of it left a bit disappointed. If you are looking for something to kill your time there is certainly much worse you could chose from; but this is not on my A list of shows to watch.

  • My review of Sunday without God
I really love anime that center around young girls with "magical" powers. Surprisingly there is not a lot of anime out there that do. This was such a joy to watch my only complaint is I want more. I've been trying to find the manga but I found out it strays a lot from the anime, plus I don't want to look it up illegally.

  • A diamond in the rough!
I started watching this without any expectations, and I was completely hooked by the end of the first episode. I won't spoil anything, but I will say that each arc is heartbreaking and bittersweet, and I love every one of the central characters. The greatest tragedy is that it's only 13 episodes. The animation is beautiful, the music is gorgeous. I highly recommend it!

The show that could have been, should have been, would have been.
Sunday without God began by setting itself up with everything a show needs to succeed; an interesting premise, original story, good action, beautiful artwork and a cast of interesting characters. You're probably thinking, "there is no way a show like this could possibly fail!". Well, I will tell you how this show somehow managed to do so.

The first few episodes of this show are actually quite ...
