    Engaging Plot & Great Action
First 13 episodes are beautifully constructed, dealing with thought-provoking situations and wonderfully done character development. It's filled breathtaking scenery, great action sequences, a sweet romance, and truly interesting villain.

If they had left it at that it would have been a classic in my book, but they had to add on the last 13 episodes that, as a female reviewer, made me angry ...

    Great Show!....but...
The artwork and plot is amazing I have to say I love this show but a lot went downhill in the second season. A lot of the characters are cliché, fan-service, typical hero, normal, boring people, creepy perverts,or just plain stupid. I still recommend it though!

An interesting concept that falls flat
Sword Art Online is really just a story about a very mary-sueish character named Kirito, following his adventure as he gets trapped into an online world. The world of Sword Art Online is rather interesting, and has a plethora of wonderful and unique mechanics that take a back seat to the relationships that Kirito builds with a bunch of random female players, eventually settling on the cliche ...

    Virtual Reality at its finest
The Virtual Reality Anime genre is a very difficult genre to master. Think about .hack series where people would yell when attacked and freak out when someone died despite the very small consequences (i.e. losing the items you collected before saving and going back to the last town you saved in). This caused very unreal situations that made the anime hard to take seriously. Sword Art Online ...

Logging in to Sword Art Online
The first time I ever heard of this anime was when I was looking for a new anime to watch on the web. I read an article on what it was all about, a boy who becomes trapped in a virtual MMO with a vast amount of other players, I thought to myself; "This sounds great!" But when I looked to watch it on anime sites like GoGoAnime and such, I found no trace of the rumored great series, for it ...

The Best Anime of 2012 IMO
Probably best anime that was made in 2012, I wish they made more episodes though.. It's unfair there's only 25 episodes ;( please continue and make a GGO/another season...this anime was sooooo good, the only thing they are missing is more episodes!!

The Pinnacle of the Anime Experience
You laugh, you cry, you cheer - sometimes, frozen in sheer apprehension, one can only stare in awe. If I had the pleasure of watching every episode back to back, I'd never have experienced so much varying emotion in one span of ~12 hours of my life. The entire show was EXEMPLARY from the very first second until its conclusion, but the initial SAO arc of this anime series is, by far, the ...

    What an inspiration!
Sword Art Online is probably one of the greatest anime series of all time! The passion they have in it and the intensity of the show draws you in more and more! This series has an appropriate love story in which passion and truth triumphs evil. It has a way of showing that evil loses due to the fact they have no convictions. They do not have a supreme goal. In that case, they don't have something ...

    Almost a Five Star....Almost!
Sword Art Online in it's first half of the series found a special place in my heart. I felt like this would be THE anime for me. In it's first half it presented several things to me that I enjoyed immensely. FIRSTLY and MOSTLY, being the MMO fan I am, I enjoyed alot of the MMO speech and references to that genre of gaming. Though time was on fast forward for the first 7 episodes, the stories it ...

Best anime I've seen in ages
I really love this anime, the story and animation is really amazing. The adventures that Kirito faced is amazing. I kinda did not like it when they switched SAO to ALO but as I continued watching it, i enjoyed ALO even more than SAO.
