    Eclectic and Moving Series
I think this series is polarizing because it combines many anime genres. It's got action/fantasy, some shonen fan-service, and also shojo-style female characters and relationships. If you approach it without expectations, there is a lot to recommend. I think a lot of men are turned off by the shojo elements and give the show bad reviews as a result. I actually like Season 2 more than 1; ...

    My first review ever
I've never done a review before but I felt like this one was needed. I've watched this show a lot and it has helped me through some really bad times. I think the story and voice actings are great. It all feels so genuine, I hope this show makes more people feel the way I've felt. I give it five stars because of the story, voice acting and how they've managed to keep it interresting for such a long ...

Garbage The Anime (SAO Now Crap?)
(Note: To fully express the topics in SAO, this review will not be PC. There will also be a huge amount of spoilers. You have been warned!) Sword Art Online (SAO) is an anime widely accepted by the anime community. It has a fan base that is above average, and has started a new series of anime I like to call, not SAO. Sword Art Online was published by ASCII Media Works and was originally a light ...

Doesn't deserve the hate it gets.
While I will say, the first half of season 1 is what made me fall in love with this show. The second half of season was weaker but still quite good, especially for the ending. Season 2 was awesome and the second half of that will bring the feels. I am looking forward to the Ordinal Scale movie coming out 2017 and season 3 coming out soon after that. Watch this show.

Starts out great but loses itself along the way
Sword Art Online started out really well. It had a great premise and and interesting story. For the first 14 episodes it's pretty good. After that it gets some identity issues and doesn't really know where to go from there. It zigzags all over the place and never really settles in unitl about the last episode but even then it only really sets up the second season. Sword Art online would have done ...

Epic drop off after good start.
I enjoyed the misadventures of Kirito and the world of Sword Art Online for the first story arch. After that if devolves into everything that's wrong with current anime. The main character is ridiculously over powered and every single female character what's to bone him. Even his own sister. Hell even his own adoptive imaginary daughter. It's like writers of anime spent years on Fan Fic dot net ...

    great but pretty predictable
the first part of this anime was great, had me hooked right away. it's different and if you love video games this is perfect for you! the storyline is awesome and super unique. i like the lone wolf types of characters like Kirito, so i wasn't so fond of the romance part. Asuna is a great character who was strong and they were a great team but i felt like she became weaker and more of a damsel in ...

Go Watch SWE's Sword Art Online the Abridged Series. Don't waste your time here
The characters, plot, humor, and even character development are far better in SWE's SAO Abridged compared to the original content in every imaginable way, creating a series with several millions of views that resembles what Sword Art Online should have been without losing the visuals, animation, music, and character design that make up the only good parts of the original series. What are you ...

    Decent but Over Hyped
Sword Art Online has become somewhat of a sensation overnight. There are reasons for this. The first episode is an incredible setup that gets you hooked immediately. Unfortunately, I do not feel that the show is able to deliver on the promising tone that the first episode sets.

After the primary antagonist presents the primary struggle of trapping players inside a virtual reality video game, he ...
