Magic and Science together at last!!!!
I love this show! It makes a world of magic and science together completely believable and delivers us one of the best and coolest main characters in a long time! I really hope we get a second season! Also, one of the most balantly hilarious harems in my opinion since Tenchi Muyo! Tatsuya and Mayumi forever!

    Great but unsatisfying
The anime has a lot of pros, and it far outweighs the cons but I'm not too into the anime. The reasons for that is because it's pretty predictable on what a majority of things will happen. It's not too intriguing, and it sort of loses it's muster pretty fast. I originally enjoyed how the characters interacted, but it began to feel like only the main character has actual character development and ...

The Irregular at Magic High School
Story starts off slow, but I was told by a friend to keep watching. I'm very glad I did. The only odd thing is the relationship between the brother and sister... only odd part of the plot, but if you can get past it and the first five episodes it will pick up. One of my favorites actually.

Here you will find the definition of "kakkoi".
    -Somewhat of a spoiler alert-
The Irregular at Magic High School, or Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei is an anime about a high school for magically gifted students. The school is divided into two classes; those who are naturally gifted and somewhat superior in magic and those who have a potential but would never really end up as the gifted students. And then there is Tatsuya Shiba, who falls in the latter ...

Surprisingly clever and fun, with some solid action.
I wasn't sure what to expect out of the Irregular. Sometimes animes with the brother/sister complexes are a little too much for me, but the irregular plays it off well and makes some jokes that are geniunely really funny out of it.

The MC is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the really typical protagonists over the last few years and the show is well animated and genuinely interesting. ...

    Absolute gutter trash
It's terrible. Main character is SAO levels of Gary Stu who is perfect and does nothing wrong. No one around him is interesting and the few characters that I do enjoy have almost no screen time or character development. Please don't waste your time.

Above Average Potential,, Below Average Execution
To start, I have NOT read the manga. That said, I wouldn't know if this is a great chapter-by-chapter adaptation or not.

Tatsuya (mmc) is a refreshing look at a shounen lead. He is neither weak, OP. He has his flaws, yet is a dominating force that can be admired. The same cannot be said for other characters. Many characters are sterotypical. You've got the overly shy (Azusa Nakajou), the moe ...

    John Galt is not kawaii
Normally, I don't write reviews. I also don't normally abandon a show after a few episodes, but this show was so bad I had to make an exception to both rules. On the surface, it's just a slightly-below-average shonen show, but then you get into the politics of the story, and it's not just bad, but offensive. It's basically Atlas Shrugged with a sister complex. The main character is so perfect that ...

    Sciencey and great characters.
They are really great at explaining the science behind it all and the characters are just the right mix of normal and larger than life. The story line is solid and there aren't many holes or questions. I wish the first season had more finality, but hopefully it was left that way because they plan to continue the series. My sister and I are avidly waiting for season 2!
