  • More than what is seems on the surface.
I'm reviewing this despite it airing 3 years ago and over 200 5 stars reviews just to reiterate that this series offers more than just mindless OP action. Yes most of the characters are extremely powerful but with careful attention there is a lot of subplots and good strong content about the characters and why they are the way they are. To be honest the anime misses A LOT of the internal character ...

  • Interesting with a few caveats
I found this series to be fascinating and enjoyable to watch, but I did not enjoy the over-abundant harem antics. Harem shows are not my cup of tea, and this show sank into quite a few of the harem cliches. Tatsuya is worshipped by practically every female he meets, pretty much before any of them really know him, even as he is acting coldly to them. Moments in the show slide into what feels ...

  • What is the fixation on incest????
Good anime, good plot, decent character development and the art is ok but what is the writer's fixation on a romantic relationship with his sister? It just goes a long way to ruin a good anime for me. Strange moments between the protagonist and his sister occur so much that its hard to be comfortable with it. Whoever the writer is, I pray he doesn't have a sister because if he does she needs to ...

  • One of the best school animes, even for people who don't like school animes.
Solid story. Create cast. Stable Main Protagonist. Awesome Science/Magic. This anime gives you everything you need to get invested, stay interested, and want more. I only wish they would start pumping out episodes of this at a far faster rate.

    Highly recommended.

  • Enjoyable & Satisfying
I have thoroughly enjoyed this anime. The show requires you to pay attention so you don't get lost - perhaps this constant focus required to watch the show causes the low ratings in the end by some folks. Characters are great and I have laughed when it is obvious the moment is supposed to be funny. I even chuckled when characters own the bad guys in combat. I am looking forward to the 2nd season. ...

  • Olympic swimmer in the kiddy pool
False underdog Marty Stu protagonist with a creepy over-attached sister...
You know how the hero normally claws and fights from the bottom to earn respect? Not here. Main char is basically Batman/Tony Stark/Jesus pretending to be a high school student.
Most of what they fight is trivial compared to the hero, and what story elements point to something more interesting get mentioned in passing ...

    Disgusting & Physcopathic
The plot is good, but everything else is horrible. Tatsuya is a physcopath; as it states in the light novel that he cannot feel emotions, and his 'friends' are just people he talks to, and he uses them to get what he wants. I also hate how Miyuki and Tatsuya get engaged. Even if Miyuki is artificial, they are still siblings. It's disgusting, and doesn't change anything even though ...

  • He's awesome and he knows it.
I enjoyed the mystery around this sibling duo. The backstory is deep and only slowly revealed but with lots of interesting hints from the start. Tatsuya's quiet but total confidence (well deserved, it turns out) is unnerving but charismatic. The (naive) disdain from his peers doesn't phase him at all. He's awesome and he knows it. Miyuki knows it as well and occasionally tries to correct others ...

  • actually worth 5 stars
Why is "[email protected]" earning a score of 5 stars? Because its done so well. Very compelling story that had me binge watching. The world created had a lot of thought put it to it. How magic exists with the reality of their world is handled very well. Characters are well developed, and have good back stories. Political in-fighting, student council intrigue, and famous families trying to jockey for ...
