Could've been great, ended up muddled
The main problem I have with The Perfect Insider is it gets too wrapped up in its philosophical babble. This is series is actually a murder mystery, but sometimes the writers forgot that and went on unnecessary philosophical rants that mistake contradicting common sense for actual depth of thought. That's too bad, because I thought the plot and characters were more than strong enough to stand on ...

    Definitely a good different anime
This anime varies from the rest.. the style, the way it's actually based on a novel and not a light novel.. based only on the first episode this anime kept me as a viewer alert and intrigued for what's happening, the transitions from scene to scene were really smooth and the overall feel is a very satisfying curiosity that you are left with. The music gave me hyouka nostalgia, it's so smooth and ...

A mind trip that ends at a sunny beach?
Written at the end of the season.

The first episode starts with philosophical musings disguised as ordinary conversation between unique characters set on a background of common daily life with a classical music score bringing up the rear. Relatively quickly it turns into a locked room murder mystery of a very usual nature that takes over much of the seasons plot. The story proceeds with a ...

A Beautiful and Kind of Creepy Onion
This show has some of the best animation. It is very slow paced mystery. Think of like an onion slowly being peeled. You aren't exactly sure what's in the middle or where it's going. You get little insights here and there as it strings you along like a cat following a string. The characters are distinct and have depth. It has some real creepy elements too. This show is good for thinking people. If ...

There's Too Much I Need To Know Still
The opening to this Anime seems very fun filled with a soothing music to fill the Anime; though not much was revealed.

This Anime is based off of an actual novel and, from what I can tell, it is going to be very dialog heavy (so pull out your reading glasses).

Few characters were introduced, and only three were revealed long enough for you to grasp.

This episode felt like all it did ...

    Entertaining but unbalanced
The Perfect Insider was mostly what I had hoped it would be but it fell short of reaching its full potential. The tone was fantastic as was just about everything else in its production. I did find some things lacking, however, and I wan't to make a difference here between the crime-solving mind bending versus the philosophical musings. The crime-solving aspects were fantastic and extremely ...

    Deep Stuff My Friends.
To appreciate this fully you have to want to think and want to question not only the story but life on a deeper level, so definitely not for everyone. It's not a murder mystery in the sense of like a 'whodunnit' show, but more thinking about life, so definitely not for everyone!

So The perfect Insider was originally a novel, then turned Live Action Drama Series in early 2015, and now it has an Anime version.

So the back story is The main girl character has no emotion when she sees a person dead , and she is intrigued by death.... ...

    A solid murder mystery
If you're a big fan of mystery, this is definitely the show for you. The murder will keep you guessing for pretty much the whole season. If you are observant, you will figure out pieces of it a little earlier on, but even when you think you're right, you'll still be questioning because you're just... not quite sure... This show also has a decent somewhat lopsided romance to it as well as some ...

    In a word: Contrived
The best parts of the show were probably the opening and ending music and animation, which were very unique and enjoyable, and I liked the character designs, but the personalities of the characters themselves seemed sort of annoying.
This anime promises to be deep and philosophical, but I was pretty disappointed in it. Nothing really picks up until the last two or three episodes, but even then ...
