  • Very Entertaining and Cute
At first I wasn't expecting much from this anime, but the simple creatively and well execution of each episode hooked me in. The 2 main characters have great dynamics of their own and they are also very funny. Every 7 minutes I find myself smiling and glad I found this anime. It brings new life into the average high school anime. Everyone should watch (:

  • This Show Just Kills Me
Tonari no Seki-kun caught my attention but by the time the robot family got it's own theme song I was hooked. I think I finally understand Shogi now or at least the way I want to play it. When I got to the end I wanted more and was sad to say good bye to these two characters.

  • A Delightful Gem in 7 minutes
What a captivating and endearing series! The story centers on the day-dreaming diversions of a typical middle school boy (Seki) and the girl (Yokoi) sitting next to him who can't help but watch his antics. I said 'typical' but really Seki is very creative and industrious in his playing. You'll get caught up too, watching his desktop adventures and listening to the very descriptive, oft-hysterical ...

    Everyone Loves Scrambled Eggs!
This show is cute, funny, clever and outrageous. Some of the pranks Seki pulls out just to kill time in class are kind of ridiculous but the best part is how sucked into it Yokoi always gets.

Pure episodic 7 minutes of entertainment. This show shouldn't be scrutinized because the episode lengths are perfect. Humour never seems forced or awkward and the shorter length makes everything feel ...

  • Good, clean laughs the whole way through.
This anime is one of my all-time favourites. Seki wastes time in elaborate ways, and his neighbour, Yokoi, reacts; that's the series in a nutshell, but to oversimplify such a masterpiece would be a grave disservice. The humour is clean, and family-friendly. You could get away with watching any one of these 7-minute episodes on a coffee break, and come back so much better. Seriously, I can't ...

  • fun , innocent and short.
animation - its average but its purely based on comedy so not a issue , the facial expressions are charming.

plot - there isnt any, its a boys finding new ways to kill time . Thats it but the jokes are really good.

music- the songs there is are great .

i highly recommend this anime as its short which only seven minute episodes.

  • What's Seki-kun up to this time around?!
Ah, Tonari no Seki-kun or as in English, The Master of Killing Time is a rather short series with quite the amount of episodes. The show is about a girl (Rumi Yokoi) who sits a few inches away from Seki-kun, the master of killing time in multiple classes and narrates his actions as she watches him goof off. I admit it sounds incredibly boring to watch, but after getting 3 to 4 episodes in I was ...

  • Cute Seven Minute Past Time!
If you're looking for a time filler that is amusing, then look no further! I basically sat down and watched it from start to finish in one sitting because it's too adorable not to. You think you can't be surprised by these characters, but you are. And it's hilarious that the main character never talks.

  • A great short-length show with a lot of heart and humor
How this show managed to make me feel so strongly for inanimate objects, I will never understand. I found myself never knowing which human to root for, but always knowing which toys to root for. The simple style lends itself well to the stories they tell. This show is a joyous watch from start to finish, so give it a try.

    Viewing time well spent
A great little show, consisting of quick 6 minute set pieces. Some of the funniest, actual laugh out loud anime out there, and absolutely worth your time to try one or two to see if it hits with you. Don't let the idea of apparently obscure Japanese games and customs scare you off either, the show's take on stuff like Shogi and Go require no cultural knowledge.
