  • One of the best anime shorts I have ever had the pleasure to watch.
This is a laugh your ass off anime. It's short, but you bond with it like a little puppy. Not a serious anime, but you find yourself coming back time after time to see what seki has up his sleeve and he never fails to impress. Time after time I would tell myself "this is so pointless and illogical", but time after time I laughed my ass off over yuki's stories for every event. I wish that Seki and ...

  • I'd say, Master of Distraction :D
Awesome anime, too bad is only seven minutes long; five if you take out the intro and ending songs.
Is concise and entertaining, every episode is clever, simple and chaotic in their own particular way.
Seki-kun will do thing that seems on a first glance only for his own pleasure; from there the title. But as the episodes advance you will notice that his work is the art to distract his nearest ...

  • This is an awesome anime
Simple straight to the point and no complicated plot. For 7 minutes an episode, you cannot beat it. The shogi episodes are definitely my favorite. For people who don't watch anime normally, this is a perfect one to start with. It can get suspenseful and when you least expect it... it was for nothing at all.

  • A pretty good way to kill time
Just as the title of the series denotes, this series is good for killing time. It's not the MOST exciting show, but then it's not really supposed to be. The episodes are pretty short, which I think works in the show's favor since there is very little dialogue; most of the show is from Yokoi's perspective so it's the only words you really get are her inner monologues of the action. Over all it's a ...

  • This guy takes it to a new level!
There are multiple levels of time slaying-

    #1. Not paying attention.
    #2. Fiddling with your surroundings.
#3. If you get caught you get detention.
#4. If you have this much time you should go do something productive.
#5. If you get caught you they won't even be mad because that is just plain, old impressive!

In this series you will see all of this, from one man. Seki-kun, the ...

  • It is a good break from your average anime.
To be honest, I didn't give this anime enough credit when I started watching it. It took me after watching a few episodes to understand it. As the title of my review says, It is a great break from anything serious or long with anime.

With its short episode times, its good for breaking the ice with boredom. I could go as far as saying if you feel down, this anime will not stop bringing you ...

Seven minutes to brighten your day
Of all the micro anime that I have watched to date this is my favorite. Even though it is the same basic idea repeated throughout the shows the comedy had me laughing out loud many times through the series. It was perfect for when I needed a quick pick-me-up after a long day at work.

    Elegant and Charming.
Tonari no Seki-kun excels where I least expected it too; to be a bite-sized heartwarming and caring comedy. I personally see it as a near perfect execution of refined humor with no relegation's towards what I feel are the common pitfalls of comedy today and recent years.

I hope you can indulge and spend some time with these charming characters and the intimate corner of the world that has been ...

Hilariously Adorable - a great show to watch on the go
This is one of only a few 'micro episode' anime I have seen, but they've taken the concept and run with it to make something absolutely brilliant. There's about as much of a story line as you would expect from 7 minute intervals, and each episode follow mostly the same formula, but it totally works.

Essentially, the guy does something stupid, the girl gets distracted trying to stop him (or ...
