Yuki Giou is a high school student with no relatives, living in an orphanage.

Gifted with special powers that sometimes makes him able to read the mind of the people he touches, he keeps searching for the reason for his own existence.

A beautiful young man, who somewhat inspires his nostalgia, appears suddenly before him. His name is Zess.

He tells him he must not go outside during Walpurgis Night, the night of the red moonlight that beckons death. After that, mysterious events keep happening around Yuki, and he ends up involved in the millenary war against Duras, the demons!

What is the real nature of the Zweilt, the "Hands of Punishment", his allies from the previous life?

How will the battle against Duras - still unfolding, reincarnation after reincarnation - develop...?

And what happened in the past between Yuki and Zess, who keeps watching over him...?!

Character Descriptions:

Luka Crosszeria (Zess) voiced by Takahiro Sakurai

Descendant of the "family of sinners" (Zess) and a high-grade demon (Opust). A beautiful young man with black hair and silver-colored eyes who bears the "XX" (double X) mark carved on his left arm. Even though he is a Duras, he sided with the humans since the battle in the previous life. He has been watching over Yuki since he was born 15 years ago.

Yuki Sakurai (Giou) voiced by Souichiro Hoshi

First year high school student with no relatives, he was abandoned at birth in front of the Asahi orphanage.

Sometimes, he can read the emotions of the person he is touching; these special powers have brought him suffering but also helped him to grow up to be a honest and kind boy. He doesn't have any recollection of his previous life, but he feels nostalgia towards Luka, and he trusts him.

He possesses the healing power "God's Light". He is taken in by Takashiro, who claims to be his older brother, and joins the war against the Duras as "Yuki Giou", together with his fellows Zweilt, the "Hands of Punishment", but...

Kanata Wakamiya voiced by Akira Ishida

Raised in the same orphanage as Yuki until the second year of high school. University student and graphic designer, he is like an older brother to Yuki. Now he lives alone. He is very affectionate to Yuki as well, but...?!

Takashiro Giou voiced by Takehito Koyasu

Head of the Giou family, very influential in the political and financial world. He is the most gifted of the family, both a Necromancer (demon summoner) and a Vates (prophet). Yuki's older half-brother, born from a different mother.

Toko Murasame voiced by Marina Inoue

Offensive specialist Zweilt, fights the demons summoning the large sword Aeon, in pair with her younger brother Tsukumo. Second year high school student.

She is strong-willed but kind-hearted, and adores her brother. One of the very few women Zweilt, she has the same special powers as Tsukumo: "God's Ears".

Tsukumo Murasame voiced by Jun Fukuyama

Conservation specialist Zweilt, uses the gun Nell (Funeral Bell) to "unbind" the demons. First year high school student. Loves his sister, eating sweets, and doing things at his own pace. Thanks to the special powers "God's Ears" he can talk to birds and other animals.
