Loved it, You have to see it!
While it might not be an action/magic/ecchi style anime/manga. It is a great Slice of life anime/manga. There are moments that will almost bring you to tears (or will). Its funny, serious, and heart warming.

Although short, and making you wishing for more, The manga does complete the series. However word of warning, the ending is a big twist to those just seeing the anime. I recommend reading ...

  • Great, but too short!
I loved Usagi Drop so much. Rin is literally the most adorable thing in the world and seeing her and Daikichi grow on each other is very heart warming. This anime really makes points that no other anime has (about parenting). Totally worth the watch. My only disappointment was the ending. It kind of just stopped out of nowhere without wrapping anything up. I would do anything to see a second ...

A light hearted and whimsical anime series
The basis of this anime stands around the relationship between a single middle aged man named Daikichi and a young outcast child named Rin. I say outcast child because Daikichi returns home to his grandfathers funeral where he meets Rin, a supposed "love child" of Daikichi's grandfather, Souichi.

At the wake, the family discusses what to do with Rin but no one will take her. Daikichi, listening ...

  • Want my own Daikichi!
    Previously posted: http://looneyexpress.blogspot.com/2012/12/anime-usagi-drop.html

I'll make this quick. This was quite simply, a short, adorable, enjoyable slice of life anime. We like slice of life becasue well, they show us a slice of life! haha In Usagi-Drop we see practical strangers, Daikichi and Rin-chan who came together by unusual circumstances and struggle to make a ...

  • Japanese Writers, Once Again
Being able to depict parental love this well should be illegal. Though Daikichi and Rin are not related through blood, the relationship they share invokes emotions from the entire spectrum, and has really helped me to appreciate all the feelings that embody love.

Usagi Drop sheds light on parental love, and how so much of it can be expressed through the unconventional method Daikichi ...

  • Makes me want to have children.
This show is so endearing and simple, I cannot overstate how much I love it. I'm nearly 30, and as most men, I have gone back and forth in the question of "do I want kids some day?" Nothing has endeared the idea to me so much as this short series.

The soft colors that seem to shy away from the lines create a visual that subtly hints of child-like simplicity while the good naturedness of ...

  • Heartfelt & Charming
This is a wonderful series that deserves much praise. The care taken into this anime helped bring life to the popular manga, and they did an admirable job of it.

This is an adult's anime, and focuses on the hardships and triumphs of parenting. Being a parent, myself, I really identified with Daikichi, as he struggled with the daily challenges of fatherhood. His life changes dramatically after ...

  • Amazing, well worth the watch
I loved Usagi Drop. i was an early adopter of the series, watching every premiere as it came out, making a point to watch within an hour of its release. amazing artwork, storytelling, and the ability to pull at your heartstrings is just shear amazing. i advise this to anyone who is looking to break the cycle of action with something a little softer, and maybe even a bit warmer to the heart.,

  • RIN & Daikchi r so KAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!!
This show was so sweet and adorable. I love how daikchi took in rin when nobody else would not even consider doing it. Even for being a single guy. He did the right thing even though his family protested against it. As the episodes go on , i love how daikchi and rin's relationship grows as well as his family.
