Usagi Drop. What is the destiny saving for you?
The human relationships are as complex as the humans that build them, even when the society tries to harden our hearts making and assumption that to be kind and considered with all the people is a futile exercise. However, Usagi Drop reminds us that the heart of the people can be reanimated by uncommon ways, even with the tricky task of taking care of a child.

All the worries, attendances and ...

  • Was So Worth The Watch!
Being born and raised in the US and having a great fascination in modern Japanese culture, this was a great series to watch. Not only is the main charater learning how to raised a child, you to learn some of what childhood is like. I really enjoyed the bond that was built between the two. My only complaint is how short it was, but it was amazing while it lasted.

    A relatable, feel-good anime
Using very few words: This is a feel good kinda anime, akin to Oh My Goddess and others. The little girl Rin is beyond adorable in almost every way, and Daikichi is very likeable (We're close to the same age).

I recommend this for anyone looking for a quality anime, regardless of genre.

  • the best anime for single parents. EVER
Some said that Usagi Drop was the best anime of this summer season 2011 and damn they are right, Usagi Drop is great. The way things are portrayed let it appear grown up, heartwarming and realistic it is quite different than most other anime shows.

Daikichi is an awesome spare dad, well he isn’t the dad of the year, but he has the right attitude and learns new things about being a parent from ...

  • So goooood!!!!!!!!!!
I originally learned about this anime from attending the Otakon 2012 AMV contest. So glad that I followed through and watched it, this show makes you feel so good. It's nice to see a responsible, caring and sensible adult who is a man falling for this adorable child. I wouldn't mind having kids if they were all like Rin!!

  • It will touch your heart
It's too hard not to like this anime. It's meant for adults entering a period of which many should have or thinking about having kids. The bond between both characters is cute and heartfelt. Give it a watch. Not recommended for 18 and under. They wouldn't understand it.

A touching show that would brighten anyday
I never thought I would love this show so much. It's inspiring, it really is. We start off with a 30 yr old business man that has been single since, well, ever. He lives alone, got his own house, and is content with his life. One day, he gets a message saying that his gandfather passed. He arrives to see a child standing alone. Who is this child and why does she look so distant? I won't tell ...

  • Perfectly Endearing Slice of Life piece
I started watching this anime after seeing Daikichi featured in TOKYOPOP's Father's Day newsletter article, entitled, "Rad Dads: The Greatest Fathers in Anime." I've watched one other "surrogate parent" type of anime before--Aishiteruze Baby--and while that wasn't one of my favorite anime, I did enjoy seeing the cute relationship between the child and older character. So, I figured I'd ...
