  • Lovely story about children
This is 5/5. Artwork and colours were nice, animation was good and storyline was simply fantastic.

If you're a fan of Hanamaru Kindergarten, this is NOT for you. This doesn't contain fanservice, or littlesister-moe-characters, it's just heartwarming story about parenthood.
I recommend if you like more mature shows.

    Refreshing and Thought Provoking
I do believe sortoffaerygirl had quite a thorough review of Usagi Drop. Honestly I agree, there aren't many series targeted for adult women and I really can't think of many slice of life series as down to earth as this one. While many slice of life series add super-natural elements or some slap-stick elements for entertainment value Usagi Drop was able to capture a magical feeling in a little ...

  • A great trend of "new dad" shows
Not sure what the genre would be called, but the "New daddy" genre is one of the few shows that will make most guys go all "warm and fuzzy" over. I really like these kinds of shows and hope to see more soon.

    A cute and a heart-warming anime!
I'm usually a sucker when a manga or anime contains good art! The plot is well planned out and it made me feel so fuzzy. This anime makes me want to cuddle up with my dog and drink a peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks. Though I'm usually more into comedy/action/romance Usagi Drop made me feel so great inside. The story line is pretty decent and Kaga Rin reminds me of RIN KAGAMINE from ...

    Unique problem into everyday life
Usagi Drop tells the story of a young girl who was a love child of Daikichi's grandfather. He takes her in and raises her like his very own daughter. Everyday is a new challenge and a new adventure. This anime creates a special bond between guardian and child to the point where you'll have a slight tear here and there. Excellent plot 5/5 Sadly no second or third season exists for this, but the ...

Usagi Drop. What is the destiny saving for you?
The human relationships are as complex as the humans that build them, even when the society tries to harden our hearts making and assumption that to be kind and considered with all the people is a futile exercise. However, Usagi Drop reminds us that the heart of the people can be reanimated by uncommon ways, even with the tricky task of taking care of a child.

All the worries, attendances and ...

  • Was So Worth The Watch!
Being born and raised in the US and having a great fascination in modern Japanese culture, this was a great series to watch. Not only is the main charater learning how to raised a child, you to learn some of what childhood is like. I really enjoyed the bond that was built between the two. My only complaint is how short it was, but it was amazing while it lasted.

    A relatable, feel-good anime
Using very few words: This is a feel good kinda anime, akin to Oh My Goddess and others. The little girl Rin is beyond adorable in almost every way, and Daikichi is very likeable (We're close to the same age).

I recommend this for anyone looking for a quality anime, regardless of genre.

  • the best anime for single parents. EVER
Some said that Usagi Drop was the best anime of this summer season 2011 and damn they are right, Usagi Drop is great. The way things are portrayed let it appear grown up, heartwarming and realistic it is quite different than most other anime shows.

Daikichi is an awesome spare dad, well he isn’t the dad of the year, but he has the right attitude and learns new things about being a parent from ...

  • So goooood!!!!!!!!!!
I originally learned about this anime from attending the Otakon 2012 AMV contest. So glad that I followed through and watched it, this show makes you feel so good. It's nice to see a responsible, caring and sensible adult who is a man falling for this adorable child. I wouldn't mind having kids if they were all like Rin!!
