  • Want my own Daikichi!
    Previously posted: http://looneyexpress.blogspot.com/2012/12/anime-usagi-drop.html

I'll make this quick. This was quite simply, a short, adorable, enjoyable slice of life anime. We like slice of life becasue well, they show us a slice of life! haha In Usagi-Drop we see practical strangers, Daikichi and Rin-chan who came together by unusual circumstances and struggle to make a ...

A light hearted and whimsical anime series
The basis of this anime stands around the relationship between a single middle aged man named Daikichi and a young outcast child named Rin. I say outcast child because Daikichi returns home to his grandfathers funeral where he meets Rin, a supposed "love child" of Daikichi's grandfather, Souichi.

At the wake, the family discusses what to do with Rin but no one will take her. Daikichi, listening ...

Thank you crunchyroll for letting the licence laps as if you had not posted a notice about it being pulled I might have heard about this amazing anime. this anime is so cute and heart warming. it's sad to see it go but Im great full there was enough warning to let me marathon it before it went back to the vaults.

  • Great, but too short!
I loved Usagi Drop so much. Rin is literally the most adorable thing in the world and seeing her and Daikichi grow on each other is very heart warming. This anime really makes points that no other anime has (about parenting). Totally worth the watch. My only disappointment was the ending. It kind of just stopped out of nowhere without wrapping anything up. I would do anything to see a second ...

Loved it, You have to see it!
While it might not be an action/magic/ecchi style anime/manga. It is a great Slice of life anime/manga. There are moments that will almost bring you to tears (or will). Its funny, serious, and heart warming.

Although short, and making you wishing for more, The manga does complete the series. However word of warning, the ending is a big twist to those just seeing the anime. I recommend reading ...

  • A great anime series
I really liked this series. Apparently "Slice of Life" is becoming my new favorite genre, with shows like Usagi Drop, K-ON!, and Azumanga Daioh topping the list.

Usagi Drop is a sweet and funny show about a young man trying to raise a small girl. It really highlights a lot of the challenges of parenthood. the show also does a good job following the manga. I do wish the anime was longer, even ...

  • Touching and family friendly
I never realize that hardship of a single parent. A sad and lonely girl who everyone despised suddenly turns cheery and slowly changes his life. There's even romance sparking with another single mom who helps him. Everything was awesome till i heard about the manga... Still i wont let those emotions break my judgement. This was a good anime! I always thought that he gets married to that single mom ...

  • A gem! A must much for anyone.
I happened to stumble upon this series when I first bought the membership for CrunchyRoll. I'm glad I was able to complete it before it was removed from the site. I will be purchasing this series whenever it's released in America.

  • Very Heartwarming <3
I really enjoyed this little anime. I wish it had gone until the full extent like the manga did (which I will be reading very soon). The drawings/motions of the anime made it look quite different and you could definitely distinguish the style between others. If you're looking to laugh and be touched, this is definitely the anime for you.
