AIGIS, an android originally created to fight the Shadows that appeared in or around Tartarus one night sealed Death itself inside a young boy. Ten years later, she has an inexplainable urge to protect this boy, despite losing her memories of him within her damaged circuits.


While Aigis is merely a weapon, she does try to fit in with the many humans around her, and enjoys learning of human ways, despite hardly ever getting anything she "learns" right. She is still somewhat afraid that she will be rejected because of her mechanical parts, but is slowly emerging from her cocoon.
