I like good, well-done animes and Asian dramas. I wish American dramas were more wholesome.
I'm not much of an anime fan. The only reason I ever started watched anime was because in 8th grade my friend had a sleepover and Adult Swim was on. I saw Cowboy Bebop (i.e. a good, well-done anime that has a thorough plot) and realized not all anime is crap. Partly because of this, I have a great disliking for "otakus" because they focus on the crappy mainstream stuff and that is the reason why so many people make fun of you if you like anime or manga, because they don't realize there is some good stuff out there. Obviously, this is not true for all "otakus", but you'll have to do quite a lot of work to remove that stereotype of mine - sorry.
I enjoy Asian dramas because I find them far more wholesome and plot rich than American shows. They also know when to stop and don't keep dragging themselves out until people are sick of it and they end up losing money.
I am a big JRock fan. I don't know why, but I've never felt much emotion listening to music in English. Of course, I didn't know that until I started listening to JRock and realized that music could make me feel that way. Technically, L'Arc~en~Ciel was my first JRock band but they didn't do anything to endear me to the genre. Miyavi is who moved me. I listened strictly to him for a year before I finally drew enough courage to download Dir en grey, and now I'm finding more and more bands to listen to. I'm also a fan of a few JPop artists.
Finally, I won't be around here much these days, as I care mainly for dramas, which are now no longer exist on this site. I do check back here occasionally, though, so if you would like to talk with me, you can send me a message or such.
